This song and Oro, the song that represented Serbia 🇷🇸 in 2008 are the best songs that have been performed on the Eurovision stage at my opinion but none of them have won unfortunately!!! It's a shame. I really liked "Making your Mind Up", but even so I have to admit that it was frothy, while this was much more worthy. As it was, they only lost by 4 or so. I think if they'd sung it in English, that would have just tipped the scales and they might have done it.

Switzerland is the only country that did not give points to GERMANY. There are 4 points between Germany and the United Kingdom this year. Clearly, Switzerland made GERMANY lose. A shame for this country where part of the population speaks German.

Remarkably unsophisticated musically. How this ever reached second place in the contest is beyond me. This would have been a great winner - in about 1958. It may have done so well simply because continental Europe has always lagged behind America and Britain in musical taste - in this case by several decades! Amazing that this was produced in the same year as the "Io Senza Te": this already sounded dated at the time, while the Swiss entry is still fresh today.
