I still have a VHS videotape from this broadcast. I don´t remember any song but this GREAT one!!! I´m from Germany and I have really no idea right now who represented Germany that particular year... but it doesn´t matter. This song here was one of the most beautiful melodies I´ve ever heard.... I remembered there was a beautiful song in Eurovision ending with the words "my Croatian sky" but I didn't know what it was actually called. After some research I eventually stumbled across this and it still sounds fantastic. Maybe a lovely place to visit? What amazed me though was that the song is from 1993! Where are the years going to? Those lovely ladies may well be grandmothers by now!

Inače ne slušam hrvatsku glazbu a kamoli pjesme s eurosonga ali ova je zbilja posebna iz više razloga: 1. Bila je aktualna u vrijeme kad se pojavila ali ne poziva na pokolj, osvetu, ajmo u boj, za dom spremni i slično nego su riječi dovedene do savršenstva, tužne ali i dostojanstvene. Struktura stiha, metafore, sve je apsolutno savršeno. 2. Melodija i harme su vrhunske, sve su školovani glasovi a kanon je isto jako težak. I sad netko uspoređuje to i one seljačke isprdke ala moja štikla i nebo.

stevodfn- uredu... Postujem misljenje i meni je takodjer predivna pjesma, ali mislim da su one pjesme kao Cavoglave bolje za rat jer ipak dizu samopouzdanje kod vojnika i ohrabruje ih. A sto se tice ovog u boj i ZDS mislim da je to nesto sto takoder dize vojnike. Evo toliko od mene. Pozdrav :)

Recently, a Croatian guy was beaten to death in Ireland. He and his friend were approached in a supermarket with words ''This is Ireland, show respect, speak English.'' Now can you be more cuckolded as a nation than that? Croatia should have close ties to Ireland based on our Catholic faith and struggle for freedom, but as a Croatian that has been dealing with both nations in person, business and gaming - I'd pick a Brit over Irish any day. I've only ever been scammed by an Irish person, once. The amount was insignificant but it gave me insight into their mindset. 800 years of licking English boots turned them into rabid dogs. Imala sam 5 godina kad je izašla pjesma, znači u mom djetinjstvu kojeg se veči dio sječam baš iz podruma ili ako bi se bilo izišlo van bila je ona poznata "ne iči od ispred ulaza, ako uzbuna krene da si brzo doma/u podrumu". Tako da ne, ovu pjesmu ne mogu slušati kao iritantnu, i uvijek (uključujući i sada) se rasplačem kad je čujem.

Prva i najbolja hrvatska pjesma na Eurosongu. Prognoze su joj predviđale pobjedu ili barem mjesto pri samom vrhu. Ali pjesma u kojoj se odaje poštovanje mladom poginulom hrvatskom branitelju nije smjela proći. Pjesma je završila tek na 15. mjestu. Meštri koji su upravljali telefonskim glasovanjem odradili su svoje!

What a wonderful moving debut from Croatia, a very sweet and memorable chorus and should've done much better. I've been close to tears listening to "Don't Ever Cry" a couple of times, either cause how much I love Eurovision and some people who know me will never get it or I was born this year or how much I miss the 90s and wish I experienced more in the decade I'm completely mad on with it's popular culture.
