The guy in the orange shirt actually had some kind of a career after this: he landed a big national hit in 2006 with a football song (called Bring en hei), when Switzerland qualified for the world cup for the first time in a while. Piero himself once made the news for driving his mother's car into the office of a boulevard newspaper. I've never heard anything of the other three again.

I believe I actually voted for this in the national finals - in my defense, I was seven years old at the time (I'm actually not sure if my parents let me vote). They were all participants of a casting show called Music Star (hence the name), which basically was the Swiss version of X-Factor. It was the very first time that year that they made such a casting show in Switzerland, so the hype around it was quite big. But the musical level of this show can't have been very high: These people all made the top 10, and Piero came 3rd. I actually remember being really excited about this show, I recorded it on VCR (I wasn't allowed to stay up that late), and then watched it the following day. Apparently, I didn't have any ears at age seven.
