Belgium is the most underrated country in ESC, Kate Ryan had by far the best song, vocals and didn’t qualify. Xandee was better than the winner and should have been in the top 3. Blanche and Loic Nottet were winner’s material.

I remember that, it was. I always put it down to the fact that Belgium did so well the previous year unexpectedly, bookies were looking at not being surprised by them in 2004 hence rating them highly in 2004. Vocal isn't great, and I recall she opened the second half of the show - and the first song on after the commercial break never does so well.
