The only problem is that she has NOT been allowed to loop, its an amazing part of her act (like you mentioned). It didn’t sound as good in the semi-final but thankfully she got through.

I will be very surprised if Israel doesn't win this year. I am hopeful about our own Rybak, but frankly, the catchiness of this song plus its very relevant theme makes it kind of a hit.

naapurinerkki opinion* Yes, a music student's opinion, and musically Israel's song is just your standard overproduced dance pop track with processed vocals, except they added cringy chicken noises on top of it.
@noya55006 жыл бұрын
sorry to ruin it for you, I'm sure you're very talented and have a great musical understanding, but that doesn't mean that you can dismiss the song like this as an "overproduced dance-pop track" that contains "cringy chicken noises". especially not after you heard a brief story about what is the meaning of this... and if you are yet to understand, let me sharpen the point for you- the chicken noises are to demonstrate the fear of those sexual predators (because underneath it all, as was mentioned in the video- they're doing it because they're afraid from a world where women will be equal to them... among other reasons of course), and also, interestingly enough- in hebrew there is a word that means both a male and a chicken, so there is obviously a light hearted hint to that... above all, i sure hope that in music lessons they also teach you to hear and understand the sounds the singer is making and not just hearing a song once and dismissing it as shallow and 'cringy'... sorry if my comment seems harsh, i just think your comment had a sense of someone who didn't research the meaning of the song and just heard it once and decided to "roast" it without understanding it...

Might be just me, but I think the chicken noises sound like "baka" which means "stupid" in Japanese... She's already got a Japan-inspired look (especially in the exclusive rehearsal clip) and she mentions Pikachu, and the song has the lyrics "You stupid boy" so I don't think it's a stretch that the clucking sounds tie even more to the song that you'd first think.. If you apply this little theory of mine where she sings baka (aka, stupid) you'd get: "He's a stupid, stupid, stupid, boy"
@Milfuelle1006 жыл бұрын
That’s what she meant by Pikachu?! 😂 I was SO confused.

I always thought the looping intro was sort of a representation of getting a dick pic sent to you. The "pring" the sound of a phone recieving a message. "Ouch" the realization that it's a dick pic. "Ha" laughter at how dumb the guy is for sending it. "Mhp" the thoughts about why this is still being done, someone should do something about it. "La" oh well, what can I do.

What I hear in Netta's song is sexism, harted against the opposite sex, lot of poorly hidden f*ck words, childish noises and a lot of bad slang. The song from Czechia this year is also full of sexism, humiliation, sex and bad language. People vote with their hearts open, not with their feet wide open. That's why the most hyped guy last year - Francesco became 6th despite the bettings odds and the zillions of views. Monkeys, chickens, f*ck words won't help anyone to win neither Eurovision nor the Junior Eurovision.

One thing I didn't know until last week is that the lyric "Baka Boy" is a slang term in Japan for "idiot". Tying in Japanese slang with the Japanese look to her live performance at Eurovision was clever enough, but then making the lyric "Baka Boy" sound like a chicken sound (" baka baka hmm, baka baka hmm boy") adds another layer to what at first sounds like a silly song.

tbh I like it more than "I can't go on"... and I don't know why but I neither see a resemblance to Micheal Jackson, nor do I listen to Bieber so that's definitely not the reason. Different people - different tastes, I suppose...
@kennet78376 жыл бұрын
I way prefer "I Can't Go On", it's more memorable, but I generally don't like those types of pop songs. They are pretty standard and tends to sound overproduced. Michael Jackson's pop music is actually good and there is much more musical variation between his songs + his vocal style is unmatched!

Great analysis video ! I have a different understanding of the initial part of the song ( those gibberish sounds) and that would be of a person (or animal) that is trying to find its proper voice/identity. so she is trying one and is not happy with it and tries a couple more until she got it.
