I think the best with Cornelia Jakobs on stage is that she is real with her emotions. If she wrote the lyrics, she can show and experience them during the performance truly. People look for this kind of truth in art and she gives it. You can take part in her story while she performs and she shares her feelings. People come to events for this kind of experiencing

Yes, and the lyrics are quite simple and the english is easy (but deep and emotional) to understand even for people who aren't very good in English. I also think that even people who doesn't understand english at all will feel the emotion. I haven't felt this hopeful about one of our songs since Måns.

LOL 45mins of the Deban & William dynamic, I'm living for it! My personal Nordic top 5 different to both of theirs... 5. Jezebel - It just ain't for me 4. Hold Me Closer - I can see the quality, it just ain't for me 3. The Show - takes a bit to get going, the drums go off! That leaves me with a good feeling. 2. Með hækkandi sól - the harmonies are lovely, the vibe is a nice counterpoint to a lot of the other songs. Probably not a strong competition song, but I really dig it 1. Give That Wolf A Banana - quality production with hilarious lyrics and fun performance? Sign me up!

My top 5 of the Nordic entries (I'm a Norwegian myself, but will put Norway in the list) 1. The Rasmus 🇫🇮 2. Cornelia Jacobs 🇸🇪 3. Subwoolfer 🇸🇯 4. Reddi 🇩🇰 5. Iceland🇮🇸 I think all the countries chose great songs definetly, although I doubt they will all make it to the grand final. I believe my top 3 is a certain Q, but with Iceland and Denmark i'm conflicted (but I personally like their songs a lot too). I agree that Sweden will win the jury votes, and I think Norway will do really well with televotes, but not jury😅 I love all the songs and I wish them the best of luck! I feel like this is the *BEST* year for all the Nordic countries *combined* in a very long time! Even the entries I don't really like much are still good on themselves! Denmark is my last place here definitely. Iceland is fine and really atmospheric, but it doesn't work for me too much. Finland is awesome and is in my top 10. But Norway and Sweden... bringing so much quality in 1 year is unbelievable. Both of them are in my top 2 overall and I can't chose a winner.

My opinion is that the two best Nordics, in two completly different way, is Sweden and Norway. BUT Sweden win the SONG competition and that way Norway being in second place. Norway have no song, they have a funny stageing, like Russians Verka Serduchka or Germanys Dschinghis Khan. So finally, I believe in, support and hope for Sweden, but don’t be sad if Norway get better place. 👍🏽

I will say this.. France is not my taste this year. But i cannot say it's better compared to Iceland. Both are a complete different vibe. My top 5: . 1. Sweden, 2. Norway, 3. Finland, 4. Iceland, 5. Honestly, I found all of the Nordic songs, except for Norway, to be fantastically _mediocre._ In fact, I found *both* Deban's and William's #1 picks to be in the indistinguishable-sounds-all-the-same basket. I always listen to the full ESC-video-playlist, in shuffle-mode, in the background while I'm working. Then I listen to it again. [I actually watch the videos, rather than listen, later.] After my 1st two random listen-throughs, the entries fall into one of 2 categories: 1. Gets my attention   This has subcategories. 2. Sorry, which act are you again?   The bulk of the acts fall in here. #2 are the acts that sound [to me] indistinguishable from several other acts … or worse, indistinguishable from previous _years._ Being in my Category-1 isn't necessarily positive, 'cuz there are its subcategories: 1a. What … am I _listening_ to?!?!? 1b. So annoying and/or grating that I want to shove coffee grounds into my ears. 1c. Utterly Bizarre, Completely Bugnutz, and _I love it!_ 1d. The songs I keep playing and never get tired of. Subwolfer falls into box 1c and 1d. The rest of the Nordics are deeeeeep in my category-2.

My top 5 Nordic entries this year: 5 - Iceland 🇮🇸- Sigga, Beta Og Elin - Med Hækkandi Sol - For me this is my last by far. I mean nice harmonies and instrumentals but overall just leaves no impact for me. Really limp ballad for me. Like that it is in Icelandic though. A 6.4/10 for me and my 38th. 4 - Finland 🇫🇮 - The Rasmus - Jezebel - such a great instrumental but vocals really lack right now. The lyrics are good but I do not really have any feelings for them. An 8.4/10 for me, my 20th. 3 - Norway 🇳🇴 - Subwoolfer - Give That Wolf A Banana - so iconic and catchy. The dance is also so easy to grasp and I have even done a TikTok on it. My 8th overall, a 9.5/10. 2 - Denmark 🇩🇰- Reddi - The Show - just so energetic and I love the song’s lyrics and structure, so underrated by the fandom. Personally a 9.8/10 my 5th place overall. 1 - Sweden 🇸🇪 - Cornelia Jakobs - Hold Me Closer. A 10/10 emotional masterpiece my 3rd overall.

I guess my opinion is a rare one but I think the Nordics are far weaker than they usually are. I think Iceland and Norway are good, Finland is solid and I can't stand Sweden and Denmark. (Long ranty ranking incoming lol) 1 - Norway (It's cheesy, it's dumb, but it's dumb in an endearing way. The two perform very well live and are sure to be televoting magnets. The whole shtick they have going on is humorous and the song is an absolute earworm, in a good way. It's not a masterpiece, but this is the most stand-out of the 5 Nordics, and should easily achieve the best score out of these.) 2 - Iceland (I like the mellow feeling this brings and it's a pleasant listen every time, but I end up wondering how the first-time viewers will react to this. I think this will not qualify, but I hope that it will gain enough support from the juries to make it. It has a HORRIBLE spot in the running order, coming after Austria's high energy track and before Greece's far more beloved ballad. I hope Iceland can work a miracle and make the cut. They certainly deserve it more than other competitors like Moldova, Denmark or Croatia.) 3 - Finland (Solid song but given their recognition I expected more. The song's a decent earworm but the live performance needs tweaks. I like the studio cut but don't love it, and I'm missing lyrical cohesion, which Jezebel doesn't really have.) 4 - Sweden (Generic, stereotypical and uninteresting, the trio of feats Sweden's been stuck with for years now. This isn't special, this isn't creative, and this certainly doesn't resonate with me at all. I don't get the hype for this boring entry at all. I think it's the worst Swedish song since If I Were Sorry, and looking at the odds it could easily be equally as overrated in the end. I'm not an Anders Bagge stan, nor really anything within Melodifestivalen this year, but considering the past few editions, I think Sweden has all the rights to stay far away from the top 10 this year. If Tusse didn't make it... Why should this?) 5 - Denmark (Absolutely amateurish and needs LOADS of improvement which I know it won't get, especially on the staging department where we know Denmark is too lazy to change anything. I can't bring myself to enjoy this at all, and if this somehow qualifies over better songs in a crappy semifinal, I will be upset.)

1. Norway, 2. Sweden, 3. Finland, 4. Denmark, 5. Iceland. The first three are in my overall Top 15. The problem with Iceland's song is the same as with "'En skønne dag'" in the DMGP: nice sound, but where is the melody?

Interesting. My number one in this group is Iceland (Will's last place). I just like the way it makes me feel. And Denmark is my last place, like with Deban.
