Technically speaking, this is the greatest thing to ever grace an ESC stage. The color pallet, costumes, choreography, cinematography and editing are next level. All the closeups made it feel very intimate and emotional. Notice that we never get a wide shot showing the audience. For three minutes you’re completely transported to someplace that’s both scary and beautiful. A masterpiece.

Exactly that. All the close-ups and emotions portrayed - feels like a MV not a live performance. You would forget the audience is there. No wide shots of the audience until the final chorus is incredibly impactful

The storyline is that we’re harmed by an old boyfriend so they try and create a new boyfriend but it goes wrong and they make a monster. So they pretend to love the monster, trick it and they destroy it: they’re a good witch. Importantly tho, it’s just a performance it’s not real. 😅

From online platforms to soaps and films to almost the entirety of the music and art industries… all of them ram the current messaging down our throats 24/7, regardless of apparent cover stories. We’re used to it. Doesn’t detract from the artistry involved, but it detracts from the integrity and the longevity, of artists who allow themselves to take part, because all politically motivated messaging is finite, it gets old and toxic very quickly. Love to all involved. Hope we can sort this mess out.

I have watched Eurovision since the 90´2 but never ever seen something like that where the staging makes you hooked for every single second and you get in a kind of shock state. I was 30% the Polish guy BEFORE the semi, and then fully the yellow shirt guy but I come back to this review of our performance as it brings me joy that this kind of 'Ouija pop' as I've always loved the pagan roots of Ireland, has a place at Eurovision. Amazing so many viewers got to see us send a shock this year, I love the polish fella who's jaw legit drops at that intense and iconic image of Bambie following the costume change.
