Netherlands today actually at 69M and Italy @68.5M - so he overtook Angelina also at #31 on the global Spotify weekly chart with 19.5M streams Nemo is second with 16.8M streams - Baby Lasagna and Slimane also just made the top 200 both with around 10M streams Only 3 Eurovision artists did better than Joost - Loreen (22.5M) - Maneskin (21.5M) and Kaarija (19.8M)

@@sjoerd0998 No he won't. Europapa was streamed 19.5M times in the week of the final (friday till thursday) the other 3 songs charted in the same week of Eurovision in those years. So these are the final numbers for the first week.

What an assumption! The opposite is just as true: EBU/ESC would have pushed Europapa in stead of downplaying it if they wouldnt have disqualified Joost Klein. Klein simply had an outstanding performance in the semi finals, and clearly the audience agreed with that, since they went through the roof during his performance. The same cannot be said for Angelina's performance. She did well, but the staging and the dancing wasn't memorable or remarkable. Most of her views she accumulated after San Remo and before ESC, so they mostly come from Italy itself.

@@andrekloer Mmm let's be honest here. Joost promised a spectacular performance, something never done before and he simply didn't give that. The performance was good but it was an ordinary performance. The semifinal was in fact won by Israel, not the Netherlands. Also, his streams skyrocketed after his disqualification, not after his performance. It's just a fact. That being said, I think Europapa is one of the best songs of this year, along with La Noia and Zari.

​@@alterego5824 The performance may not be your taste, but the audience went trough the roof, and they are the ones who generate streams ultimately. That Israel won the semi final was only because of their the world wide campaign of Israeli ambassies to vote 'up to 20x' for their song. There was even a billboard on Times Square calling for people to call the number and vote up to 20x for their song. The majority of these voters didnt even see the show or even Israel performing. And this is reflected in the mediocre streams for the Israeli song. Because of this, it is actually fair to say that Joost Klein would have won the popular vote in the semi finals if it wasnt for Israels agressive media campaign in order to win the hearts and souls in the wars they rage. I assume this action will have some form of implication in next years voting procedures.

@@TheoriginalMach2000 I think that this happen for every song when they got released. Joost's song has been started to be streamed in the same period of the one of Angelina. Europapa was released on 29/02/2024. There was a big hipe for him months before the eurovision started. I honestly think that many of Angelina's streams come from the Spanish-speaking world, in Italy Angelina was very controversial, many people didn't like her because there was the false perception that she had the opportunity to participate in San Remo because she was the daughter of a well-known singer. There were two other singers with huge fan bases who started attacking her on social media.
