i'm british, and i completely agree with you. having said that i don't think we've heard the final product of dizzy yet and i think we're gonna be a bit surprised in malmo - that might just be me wildly optimistic, but there's SO much potential for this to be amazing live and i don't think many people are denying that, it's just whether that potential can be realised. are we winning? are we fuck. but we can get top 10 i'm sure of it, as long as we smash the staging

I'm sorry too, but Luktelk is so overrated. It won't be memorable enough on the night to be in the winner conversation. Olly is already very popular so despite the song being quite mid sometimes a famous name and support from the juries is enough to be in the conversation. We'll see what happens!

Regarding Greece and your comment on the staging issue, I would like to inform you that Fokas Evangelinos is responsible for the stage direction. He is well-known among Eurofans due to his 19 participations in Eurovision, and the choreographer will be Mecnun Giasar (fun fact: he is a Greek raised in Germany), known for his collaborations with Madonna and Rosalia. After many years, ERT has acted with absolute professionalism and respect towards Eurovision, so I don't think there is any reason to worry.

The only thing I'm worried about is that this song has a character on its own and it's very difficult to do something that is relevant to the songs theme and also make it stand out, without making it too busy/distracting. It's an amazing team though, I think they'll pull it off. Fingers crossed 🤞

I like that it's kinda wide open and it's not a predetermined 2 horse race like last year at this time. I'm leaning toward Croatia since we have an idea of what the staging is gonna be while it's still up in the air with internal songs. Croatia also has a big narrative going on - possibly winning for the first time as an independent country and after being in the trenches in recent years + the whole Dora situation

I think Serbia should take one of the eight spots. We should not forget the success of Teya Dora last year with the song Dzanum. The song was published in march of 2023 and on 12th may it was more viral than Kaarija, Loreen and Alessandra Mele, so that means that televote will be high and strong. The song also sounds jurish as it has symbolism of the meomories of the First World War, so we also should expect well number of jury points.

I think that a big advantage for this song is the fact that it sounds similar to that emotional Serbian song which got viral recently (sorry for my ignorance but I can't really recall the name). A biggest reason why Dzanum got so viral is because a lot of Balkan people we're listening to it so people from around the world started listening to it but it was only popular for a month or two then everyone forgot about it. She is getting top 15 maybe even top 10 but she aint winning

Croatia, Italy and Switzerland are really strong this year. My opinion: - Croatia and Netherlands will smash the televote, but probably will fail at the juries - France and Belgium will smash the juries but probably will fail at the televote - Italy, Ukraine and Switzerland will do well at both juries and televote - Greece could be a dark horse I think in the end it will be a matter of staging and running order

For example, belgium might sound boring if immediately after the netherlands or (another example) croatia might sound vocally weak if right after France...

it's difficult to make predictions without having seen the performance because most people see the song for the first time at Eurovision and therefore the singing and staging make the difference... it happened that underrated songs got a lot of votes after the performance ! However, I believe that this year the weight of the public vote will be divided between many songs such as Croatia, Netherlands, Austria, Ukraine etc. so a song that the juries like will win!

The last "gabber" part of Europapa is actually very distinctly a Dutch style. While maybe not ethnic/folk in the traditional sense, it is definitely not just a normal international happy hardcore song

very exciting year, the last two were so easy to predict, you actually knew who the winner was, the qualifiers were also very obvious with a few exceptions. This year it's completely different. Almost all countries have a chance of reaching the final, without performances we can't even talk about the winner because there are so many who could have the chance and we also have countries that might have the opportunity to set a new record with Croatia, Lithuania, San Marino and maybe Georgia if they have very convincing performances. I'm so hyped for the voting.

i've gotta say this is one of the most open years of all time imo, like i can find an argument for about 12-13 songs winning this year, whilst also finding reasons for all of them not to win... seriously this year is gonna be incredible, and there's gonna be a LOT of twists and turns. if if IF i had to call it right now, then i'd say croatia, italy, switzerland and NORWAY (!!!!!) are favourites - but i've gotta be honest the only songs that gave me winners vibes from the first listen were ulveham (ok that might be me being biased because i might end up adding this to my ALL TIME top 10 but still) and rim tim tagi dim.

First things first, which song hits you str8 within first 10 seconds of first listening to it - Croatia the only one - so they will be for sure televote winners, on the other hand we don't have Loreen to get all jury votes but will be spred among many of them, quite difficult to predict the winner in the end, I also think that Belgium and Lithuania should be here instead of UK who has 0% chance of winning

I totally agree with Croatia as the potential winner. Their song along with Greece’s and Italy for me are the big 3 in 2024, however Croatia will run away with it I believe. As for the UK it’s a dull dour entry. Nothing against Olly he’s a proper showman but the song goes nowhere and won’t get onto the LHS of the board

I feel like (despite my winner being Belgium), that Serbia also has a chance. Teya Dora has a presence because Dzanum went viral last year, and Ramonda may appeal to the juries, maybe even winning (might I add that the song is gorgeous and has fans as well...like myself who ranked it 2nd). The only problem I see Serbia having is with all the higher energy songs, it could risk getting lost in the shuffle. I agree with Croatia's points, and think it could win the televote if enough people like it!

However (this is also just my opinion, no criticism towards yours) I think that the UK and Greece both have 0% chances to win, I really like both songs a lot but I can't see them as winners, especially seeing the strong competition this year. Belgium has definitely more chances, it really sounds like an Eurovision winning song, however my favourite one is Croatia and I would be sooooo happy to see Marko win 🤞

You are right about Armenia. I can see them do a Moldova 2022 under certain circumstances. Other than that, I don't think that UK will not even reach the top 10, let alone win. About Greece: I really want to imagine us winning after all the hate that the song is getting domestically. That would be EPIC lol. Also, I can see Italy come in the top 3 with both voting groups and end up as a compromised winner. And Ukraine to a lesser extent. Regarding Croatia, I want to see them win more than anything else this year. The absence of Balkan nations might be fixed next year if Croatia actually wins. That is not the main reason however, just one more. Personally I would add *Serbia & Norway* in the potential winners list. Both are low in the odds, but I expect them to rise with rehearsals.

Every year we know the 1st and 2nd place from March. That is the ugly thing with eurovision. There is no any suspense the last years.
