A highlight was UK chanting "we got points!" Haha such a big achievement I'm very happy for Ukraine, I don't see it as a pity win. It's a great song, and it just shows the countries support Ukraine and are showing love to a country who needs support right now 💙💛 My personal favourite was Romania, I'm just so happy it made it to the grand final 🥰🕺🏽💃🏽

The UK commentator's comments during the jury vote was cute. 'They're talking to us, they never talk to us'. I loved how happy you were for Monica - I think one You Tuber awards their informal virtual award for the cutest contestant - two previous winners were Lake Malawi and Gjon's Tears. I think this year Monica should get that prize as well being so charismatic that she didn't need fancy staging or a troop of dancers or elaborate choreography - she just needed her.

So devastated for France! They were my second favourite. I was so happy they took a risk and did something different and brought awareness to minority languages that are still spoken today, so I'm worried we will now get cliche ballads about the eiffel tower and croissants for the next 100 years from France now 🥲

Don't be sad, in France we are very proud of Alvan and Ahez. I believe (I hope I am not mistaken) that we will continue to use Eurovision to discover our many young talents and the diversity of their creativity rather than wanting to do like others and send ultra-formatted songs to try to win. You know, someone said "The most important thing (at the Olympic Games) is not to win but to participate, because the important thing in life is not the triumph but the fight". It was Pierre de Coubertin and he was a Frenchman.

I love that anything other than zero is worth celebrating for Germany. *Six points. "YEAHH IT'S NOT ZERO!!! WHOO" haha. Legit my reaction. Those bottom scores were brutal and I felt so bad for Sheldon, but at least the green room was supportive of him and showed that it was undeservingly low. He put on a fantastic performance and I'm glad the juries recognized that and elevated him a little. Congrats to Ukraine! And my faves Greece and Estonia both made left side of the scoreboard so I'm happy with that! I'm also thrilled for the UK and Spain for placing top 3 after last year. They did an incredible job stepping up this year and it's so great that their effort was recognized by both juries and televoters.

I AUSTRALIAN BUT I LIVE IN PORTUGAL More than 30 years. Australia diserved more points. When I was gunger I remembered waking up at 5 am in the morning with my mom and brothers was the best time of my life. The European don't understand why Australia particad in the eurovision it is because around in the 80s were the first to watch eurovision to me thay are welcome to join and sing what they want. Eurovision was to create 🕊️ for the music 🎶 to make sure that all have fun and to be united with music because of the war in 40s the music is to remind us that we should love each other and the best way is making music to reach out to the world. Guys, this is political contest from maaany years. Poland, Potrugal, Netherlands and many more great songs were robbed this year, this is classic Eurovision result - pure politic. As a Norwegian, I'm a little disappointed with your comments there, Dale, but well - Your opinion is your opinion, and I respect it. Norway didn't flop entirely because of the song, running order and the massive support for Ukraine hurt their score. I reckon they could have been 5th in the televote with a better running order and in a completely normal year. I actually think they did shockingly well for being 7th, and before every big hitting favorite. I'm pleased with a 10th place, but think they deserved at least a bit more love than they got overall on both sides. Sheldon did deserve better, his running order also ruined him with UK and Poland being right after, and Sweden right before. He killed it in his semi-final so good on him. Congrats to Ukraine - slava Ukraini! Amazing support to see.

I think if you watch the earlier versions of revealing the public votes 2016-2018 they quickly move through the first half of televote scores. This a) this increases the pace and gets through it a lot quicker and b) gives some respect to the artists. We definitely stand by the former approach (2016 was 12 mins, 2022 20 mins) ~ Dale

All Europe worried about who is going to win Eurovision instead of worried about how to help the Ukraine people. On my opinion there was little if not nothing to celebrate in Europe. This year’s Eurovision should not have happened and sent all the money to the Ukraines. That would be the best solidarity with Ukraine. Next year please keep the money from all delegations and send it to help to Ukraine instead of holding a festival.

There is 0 point in doing this. Whilst we can accurately calculate new jury scores, we cannot calculate the new televote scores. We cannot know where all those televotes to Ukraine would go, who those people would vote for... Spain might win but so could a few other countries at the top. The score board would probably look quite different.
