All succesfull football clubs in Europe have 100 years of history, of national and international success. They are tightly tied to their cities/towns of origin. That makes people in Europe have a very special place in their hearts for their clubs which they follow since they are children. The problem with the U.S. is the way sports are run. Its all franchises which start randomly out of nowhere, can change home ground to an entirely different city or state, rosters for the teams are predetermined by the governing body etc. They just start as business plans to exploit a market with millions of dollars to spend/invest. In Europe all clubs started from the ground up, start from the roots, from the lowest of leagues, from amateurs who just loved the sport and fought hard to get wins, promotion, supporters, trophies, income and earn the spot they are today. They write their history step by step. It was a natural evolution. In the US its unnatural in many sports, in many ways. I think (although I dont have the knowledge) that the only sports clubs in the US that started similarly to European football clubs are the baseball teams but its a boring sport without any international interest.
@laflamablanca-kh4xv5 ай бұрын
If you want to follow a US sport that is most similar to European/world football from a fan perspective/how the teams started/a lot of history and tradition, you should look into college football. First college football game is only like a decade after the first football club was founded (first college football game was in 1869) and it is extremely regional/traditional/etc. & you’d be surprised at how big it is as well, 8/10 of the largest stadiums in the world are college football stadiums.
@ThePhilosophersYawn5 ай бұрын
@@laflamablanca-kh4xv Yea I know about that but I didnt count them because they were started, funded and organized by institutions which is not how football started in europe (with a few exceptions in England). The original video didn't even show the most impressive stuff from Europe. Can you imagine. Watch some Legia Warszawa videos or if you are interested some top 10 compilations.

19:13 the difference it's you can hear boum boum but Europeans are in no way afraid that it might be someone with a gun, which is not the case in the USA.

Good job, US really picked it up compared to a few years ago. I'd say it's still not yet at the level of, say, Red Star vs Partizan or any of the Greek or Turkish derbies, but it's good! 👍

I you want to understand more about this topic I would recommend this: ''Why Ultras Are So Important For Football'' by ''COPA90 Stories'' Ultras cheer for all popular sports in their respective towns, not only football. But main thing is football. Ultras are political in a sense defending their town values as in time of city states. Rivalries go back to medieval times.

Yes, about France the rivalry between Paris and Marseille began for historic reasons. France is a very centralized country, and has been for a very long time. In the Middle Age Marseille was a prosperous city thanks to its position on the Mediterranean. Later, with Louis XIV, the royal power took over the wealth of Marseille, which caused a rivalry, which still lasts. Also of course because of cultural differences and others...

While usa was crawling in football, europa was running. please know your place Moreover Besiktas is first in the world with a sound record of 142 decibels. Additionally, another match the opposing team's player had to leave the game because of the sound. There is no other example of this. The name of the player who left the game is Timo Werner. As for the fans, the world champion Beşiktas with compositions and energy. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5mvpHxqfNOVaM0&si=ODPFL89b9KJiwdm9 kzbin.info/www/bejne/b2GoimmYZapmjpY&si=8Z4398aQ8cRRewrw kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZOom3aJbqaYoa8&si=B7aGVHlKLy0r7wSC

7:35 I'm a Timbers Army from Sweden. Standing up for LGBTQIA+ is to stand to for equality. Everybody's right to be and love who you want. Everyone, no matter of heritage, religion, sexual preferences, age, wealth gather at the stadium, under the clubs colors singing their hearts out together for the club.

2SLGBTQQIA+++ have the whole month of pride… As a German it‘s beyond ridiculous to see any flags outside of football at the stadium. About 78% of footballers are in a union, yet you‘d never see a Verdi flag being waved at a Schalke game… Time and place, suckers

I would say there was no winner. American soccer fans are just as crazy as European soccer fans. Americans are also slowly realizing how boring American football is, where the game is interrupted every few minutes and all excitement is lost. 2 x 45 minutes of exciting soccer is what people really want.

there is a video of fans dancing on the second floor of the stadium, the floor is filmed from below and the whole floor is shaking.
