We drive out Fiat Panda from Anglesey to Cambridge for Siôn's fabulous Eurovision party and see if DEZ gets anywhere near his Trip Computer's MPG calculations

The little hook to hang the fuel cap is design brilliance.

It's super handy

Pretty good MPG though, DEZ!
@alsodrivenАй бұрын
And he's ULEZ too. Not bad for a 20 year old car

@@alsodriven yes, that's another Panda Plus Point!

just over 58mpg is not to be sniffed at Jim
@alsodrivenАй бұрын
True but 70mpg is way out lol
@CurioByBSpokeDesignsАй бұрын
Our Panda always overestimates the MPG by around 10 MPG

It must be a thing then

Still good MPG

Yeah especially for a 20year old car

Oh my, UK mixed imperial metric units do my head in. Think my Abarth shares Dez's fuel computing logic. Left for work with 150km 'range' for a 25km 40 minute commute and at times the 'range' was down to 25km...
@alsodrivenАй бұрын
Erm... Mixed units? Have you looked at your tyres lol?

@@alsodriven oh yeah another mess, at least they are kPa compatible :)

That's decent economy for a car with a good few miles on her. It would be interesting to see if dipthane added to the fuel would increase the mpg as it cleans the insides of the engine. I use it for the nct test and the engine runs cleaner....😊👍🇮🇪

Might look that up

Slightly off-topic. I am looking to switch out my first generation Twingo into a Panda (the 100hp one) since more doors could be usefull when the child comes. Any recommendations from experience? (where do they rot, what are common faults etc.)?
@alsodrivenАй бұрын
Rear sills, rear subframe, crash damage and generally being chav'd up by previous owners. Also you really need to drive one on the worst pot hole'd road in your area and see if you can cope with the ride. It's pretty extreme

@@alsodriven Thank you for the tips. Will keep them in mind. And ride isn't an issue for me really😅 With 2 faster cars (on KW lowering suspension) for the weekends. I am used to some harshness but indeed, not looking for it in a daily.
