The studio version sucks, Satelite had become a radio hit before the contest began. We could be the same had alot to live up to, it needed a strong performance, something it got. It was just a bit too late.

Germany has been extremely unsuccessful in the years before and made a huge effort in 2010 (the national broadcaster produced a huge talent show to select the german entry). Also, they threatened to withdraw from Eurovision at some point id they won't get away from the bottom of the scoreboard, so maybe the EBU didn't want to lose its biggest financial contributor.

i remember this band did seem so used to being on stage. They were already popular in Turkey and had a nice resume before ESC. The video was better than the stage performance. He has such sweet eyes, perhaps too sweet for a rock singer.

The fact that politicians are enemies with each other doesn’t change people's ability to empathize, even if they are on the other side of the world. What unites us here is simply a song from 14 years ago. Greetings to all nations from Turkey. We could be the same, never changed, always human, always the same.

I still to this day cannot understand how Germany won over this. In my opinion, Lena’s song was pretty mundane and she wasn’t too strong vocally. maNga’s lyrics were much deeper, the staging was amazing and the performance was much more memorable for me.

a robot and a human could finally be the same as the robot became human. so what they say mattered i guess lol :D
@batsy12833 ай бұрын
The staging is taken directly from the song's lyrics. The song tells about the love between a robot and a human. In the song, he talks about how different they actually are, but says they could be the same for one day. Dedicated to this, the robot on stage turns into a human. The lyrics are of course a metaphor. maNga wrote this song about racism, and used black and white flags on stage to dedicate it.

Hi guys, I know people ask you to watch so many things, but it would really mean the world to me, other Aussies, and this amazing Aussie singer if you checked out some of her music videos. Cosima De Vito. “Now that you can’t have me” “One night without you” “When the war is over”. Her entire debut album (“Cosima”, from 2004) was written and produced by THE Diane Warren. I know you will love her voice. Cosima is Australia’s Celine Dion. Something different for you guys to watch/listen to. Lots of love and support from Australia, Mark xox

I have no idea what on earth you guys talking about. You should listen the shit one that won that year. This song has a great arrangement. I can’t believe how you guys were like talking for months that pop is not your cup of tea this that not your cup of tea.. and you are like more rock n roll person and this was best of Eurovision perfect mashup for amazing rock sound fused with the cultural elements the strings the flute, the darbuka… this was the most Eurovision rock staging possible. This song was everything and if they would have represented any other country they would have won. But we still love you boys. It’s just your commentary under delivered than the song 😂
@MissMars20223 ай бұрын
What are you talking about? I don’t understand the message of your post. Secondly, they are no boys, they are men! And third: why are you talking of WE? Speak for yourself and don‘t involve others.
@tolgatamer5584Ай бұрын
Yeah the winning “extra special” song is a crappy pop song that is not even close to what you heard musically… shame… you should have listened to both winner and the runner up to decide which one is better, and never forget that Eurovision is a POLITICALLY driven song contest and musicality is the least important parameter.
