I'm from 1970 and the love for Eurovision started early . I sing along with all of them. For me the best songs from Eurovision are between 1974 and 1988.

Eurovision is a competition of multiple nations with many different languages. Songs with catchy simple repetitive choruses have the advantage when half or more of the audience members are not native speakers of your language.

The 1980 contestant, Johnny Logan, is the only one to ever win Eurovision twice. The next one will be in 1987. Love your reactions to these video's. In the later years the music video become more important and the performances a lot more... strange sometimes. But that is my opinion.

@@martynnotman3467 Actually he co-wrote Hold Me Now (the 1987 winner). Both What's Another Year and Hold Me Now proved to be chart successful (top 10) throughout much of Europe and Hold Me Now even found its way to success in AUS.
