The saddest thing is that Ann Sophie recently talked about how it crushed her self esteem and that she could not perform for 4 years afterwards and thought this was not the career for her and she was not good enough. Außerdem ist es doch klar, dass etwa die kleinen baltischen Staaten untereinander ihre Sänger promoten, wenn ihre Hauptstädte nur 3 Stunden auseinander liegen und viele Länder hatten ja auch früher Zusammenschlüsse (Soviet Union, Jugoslawien, etc.). Not the best song of that night but still a very good song. It should get some points and it should be in top 15 at least. But the problem is the Big Five Rule. Ebu should abolish that rule. Maybe than this five countries can get beter results. Of course this is my opinion.

yec man I think the Big Five should have the chance to perform their songs in the semi-final they're allowed to vote in as the interval act.

yec man EBU should see that UEFA makes, and copying it: A "Result Coefficient", that every country could pass directly to finals, or play in semis, or even be relegated (if "quarter-finals" is not created), according to last years results.

Because this is how the Big5 came to be - Germany didn't get to the final in 1996 (I think???) and so weren't able to pay the amount they normally do (expected low ratings = no air time). If the ESC were to put your idea in place, the majority of the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy might not be able to pay enough to enable the contest to be staged........the problem of the Big5 and their guaranteed place in the final is not going to go away........ but we do need to perform in the semis.

PhysalisFranchetti yeah i understand your side too but to be honest i think we shouldnt do this contest for ratings. It shouldnt be about ratings. And im really thankful to big five for funding. I think every country that participates should support the contest. For example russia Switzerland and turkey are huge economies too but they dont send any money.(im sorry if my english is bad)

yec man Me too. I just want Eurovision to be equal and honest and not corrupt. Alas the voting is so biased that no-one from the UK with an existing career will represent us. Even if the acts want to go, the music publishers won't let them - it is the equivalent of committing professional hari-kari.....
