Joan Riba there isn't against the rules to participate twice. Jedward represented Ireland two years in a row (2011 and 2012), Rybaak won in 2009 and represented Norway in 2018, Johnny Logan won two times in 1980 and 1987 (and a third time only as a composer in 1992) and there are many participants like Poli Genova or Sunstroke Project that entered the contest for a second time or a third and then there's the legendary Valentina Monetta that represend San Marino in 4 ocasions: 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2017

The idea was: to stand out somehow will have more chances than a conformist song which everyone else has. The risk of being totally rejected was discussed. This was such a striking performance... I honestly believe she would've won if she hadn't already the previous year - being placed tenth is impressive already because people aren't likely to vote for the same winning artist and country twice in a row. This song takes some getting used to but it's one of those things you have to listen to again and again, after a while you just start to really feel the genius of it. Pure awesome, this.

I'm from Germany and I love Lena, I really do 💖. For me this song was more interesting than "Satellite". It definitely showed a new facet of her. While it was a good performance, I can tell you she was pretty burned out at that point. She could be happy with 10th place. In general, I'm proud of her for not resting on the ESC. She supposedly had her career peak the year before, but she has evolved and changed over the years and is still playing sold out venues and has had three big hits in the past few years alone. I think it's not the easiest thing to stay relevant in pop music. You can like her or not, but you have to give some credit for that 😉.

i think that song needed a high point. She would have won with a nice bridge followed by her screaming around. Plus a nice lightshow. people are blind for aesthetics - they just care about an emotional climax because thats what stays in mind. sad sad

That one was from 2011. MaNga competed in 2010. Lena became 10th in 2011. Anyways both Turkey and Germany were overrated back in 2010. All Turks insists on MaNga but I strongly oppose that. Azerbaijan, Romania, Denmark, Armenia, Greece and even Belgium was way better than both Turkey and Germany. Especially Azerbaijan, Romania and Denmark were so amazing that one of them should have won

I love how this song is kinda portrayed and sang in a way that resembles a kidnapping but in reality the song isn't about a kidnapping, it's about a man and a woman growing close together and the man wants a relationship but the woman doesn't and leaves. It's a very clever way the song is portrayed and I really, really like it. It was my winner for 2011, I think it did amazing! And it's incredible that she got 10th place even though she won last year! Good job Lena!
