The song was never an attention grabber to begin with, and La Zarra, who can be such a strong presence when the circumstances are right, actually seemed insecure. There have been several reports that she wasn't happy with her delegation, after all. You need a clear presence at Eurovision in order for people to vote for you.

Okay, but I'll be real now. France's result don't matter all to much to me anymore. I'm just happy that Eurovision helped me discover a new comfort artist in La Zarra and I wish her all the best after her Eurovision journey! I like when France sends frenchy entries. It makes it feel like it's showing what Classic french music is instead of trying to send something hip and cool. The song of France is a real refined art. The song and the performer herself are absolutely authentic to the country they represent, everything is done with such taste and grace, there is a beautiful melody, and a beat that complements it, and meaning, and references to famous French performers, and the image of the singer herself is a separate art form, and of course a beautiful, strong voice and perfect pronunciation! (French is perfect ❤️😍) It's not 16th place! Shame on refereeing and vote-rigging!
