Lyrics
Who's that girl?
The language of love
Slips from my lover's tongue
Cooler than ice cream
And warmer than the sun
Dumb hearts get broken
Just like china cups
The language of love
Has left me broken on the rocks
But there's just one thing
(Just one thing)
But there's just one thing
And I really wannna know
Who's that girl
Running around with you?
Tell me
Who's that girl
Running around with you?
The language of love
Has left me stony grey
Tongue tied and twisted
At the price I've had to pay
Your careless notions
Have silenced these emotions
Look at all the foolishness
Your lover's talk has done

I was 1 when this was released and didnt start getting into 80s music and hunting for all I could around the age of 17-18 which was late 90s...1998-1999..i love 80s music. My friends at the point of the year 2000 they would say I was older than my years and a old woman in a young body lol just because I didn't like pop music like my friends did like Nsync and Britney Spears and The Backstreet boys etc. I'd listen to the radio just to find and tape songs from the 80s then go out and buy the albums based on a song. I miss good music. I feel kinda bad for the younger ones cos they just need to accept what's put out there which is sad... Especially when the best thing they like is Harry Styles or Ed Sheeran

The gender-bending pop star Marilyn also makes an appearance in the video as another of Stewart's escorts. Despite the small role, Marilyn's appearance proved a high-profile move which helped lead to his own music career later the same year.

Epic epic song, possibly their best with Annie's voice at its most heavenly and yet haunting. I never realised how many 80's faces were in this video - I got Bananarama (I wonder if this is how Dave and Siobhan got together), Marilyn, Hazel O'Connor, possibly Kiki Dee and a few other familar faces I couldn't put names to. Anyone?

That's why I prefer the public radio in Poland over the private stations with playlists of contemporary cr*p, most of which I can't stand. Today the public radio had a feature on Eurythmics, a band I almost forgot about. Thank you, Polish public radio! :-)

I was lucky to grow up in the 80's (born in 75 😊). Eurythmics was one of the most powerful and successful group in the 80's. It was hits ... after hits ... after hits. They were one of my favorite groups. It was the powerful voice of Annie Lennox and the ingenuity of Dave Stewart. Amazing pair. Really miss them. What an awesome duo they were. Wish I could turn back in time and go back in the 80's. Those were THE BEST YEARS of my life 😍😍😍
