Those water resistant wago cases are awesome!! Never had the chance to work with it, as it is too much expensive in Brazil. Generally, I use enclosed boxes, with wire press, to prevent water demage

But why would someone in the USA care if the products confirm to UK standards? If your pulling (wago in one hand, wire in the other) you most likely don't get it out. As long as you won't rotate them while pulling.

@@tormodhag6824 Because all you have is a small cross-section of contact held in place by the pressure of a little spring latch. Very easy for corrosion to get in. Not so with properly installed wire nuts. Wire nuts will press-fit the wires together until they conform physically to eachother in a helix, leaving no room for anything to get in, and a lot of physical contact that isn't coming apart unless the nut is unscrewed.

@@ryanslipper7869 All I see for 6gauge are aluminum lugs. and they are about 12bucks each. I found some din rail systems that can accept 6 gauge wire, but then my transfer switch does not have a spot for a din rail. It looks like I have to use those giant blue wire nuts.

Electricians are obsessed with it here in the UK, if a cable is outside they will always use SWA regardless if it's underground, in conduit, in concrete or even above ground clipped to a wall etc

​@@honk5468 Wagos if fitted in a plastic box are actually categorised as a maintenance free joint and are subject to less strict rules in the IET wiring regs with regards to inspection. Now the IET would not permit that if the Wago connector was considered a fire hazard.

Are you sure those WAGOs rated for 4-8 AWG wires? They cannot be used with anything larger than 12 AWG conductors. That is a recipe for disaster.

Сырые условия, грязь и влага хоть ты термоусаудку с термоклеем засунь соединение, отгниёт с пайкой, ибо кислота въелась в медь и реакция запущена. Работаю автоэлектриком с большой техникой на 24В и практика показала что паять это самое худшое, так-как даже герметичные конекторы, в них тоже попадает внутрь влага. Втулка с обжимом, без пайки и вот тебе надёжное соединение, а дальше 3 слоя: изолента, гофра, изолента тканевая (с клеевым слоем) после данного метода ко мне не один грузовик не приезжал с отгнившими проводами))

​@@sergdoeвсё верно. Для зарядок используется ток до 48А на автоматах 60А. ВАГи ставить - губительное решение. Они для проводов гораздо меньшего сечения. Здесь нужны только клеммные блоки. Ни одна инспекция это не пропустит.
