Pretty much work. Wouldn't the whole leaf drivetrain have fitted?
@flyingtools11 ай бұрын
Absolutely, it had been much easier, and probably more reliable. The citystromer was electric with a 5 speed gearbox from the factory so that’s why I try this. Thanks

Awesome work. I did the motor coupled to gearbox on my first conversation. Wish I'd used the transmission from the donor and had custom shafts instead. It works great still. I'm now doing a RWD conversion so been rolling around on the ground all day trying to come up with some mount ideas

Thanks man! I now that feeling, and after a good night sleep, I at least use to have the answers.😅 Yes, let’s se about this gearbox solution, I will give it a try, the citystromer was electric whit a 5 speed gearbox from the factory so that’s why I try this. Thanks for your comment☺️

very interesting video! I was surprised to see a 220V outlet in the engine bay🙄 Do you know something about the purpose? I think the first halfshaft is still very close to the Nissan Leaf motor, maybe there is still need for more distance if the car moves! Anyway - good work - the gearbox looks very shiny now 😄 👍👍👍

Hi and thank you ☺️ There were ones in the time batteries in the front, and a previous owner built his own battery heating system. So he simply just connected that heating element into the cars 120 V battery system to heat the battery. That’s my guess anyway from what I could see from the old wiring. Thank you so much for your comment 😃

Can the 020 gearbox handle the amount of torque from the new engine?
@flyingtools11 ай бұрын
Let’s find that out. 😉

Usually Rule 1 of EV conversions is "don't start with a rust bucket". But when your car is already electric, does that rule still apply? 🤔🤣

Luckily the rest of the car is in much better condition. But anyway, you absolutely have a point there.
