That was very helpful thank you. We are just about to travel to Ital and rent a Tesla. One question, when I go to set up an account with 'enel x' it asks for a 'document number', I have no idea what this is and it does not explain it. Do you know what the 'document number' refers to? Many thanks :)

@@jonmerritt6092 They ask the fiscal identification number for private citizen and they use for the emission of invoice at the end of recharge. taxation-customs.ec.europa.eu/online-services/online-services-and-databases-taxation/tin-taxpayer-identification-number_en If you are an extra-eu citizen, you can make a request to the immigration office, or probably you can try with the passport number.
