This is a really good cover from Silent Hill! I have a cheap Kalimba from Amazon but am frustrated I can only play things in C major on it. Would it be worth investing in the chromatic treble Kalimba I've seen in your other videos? I really would like to have all the flats/sharps and from my understanding you'd be able to play most pieces right?

Thank you so much! 😁🙏🏻 So, when I play my usual 17-key kalimbas I usually retune keys to get different diatonic scales, and I don't play only in C major 😁 Check my tabs, I usually write info about tunings. But yeah, the chromatic kalimba is a really amazing instrument, it gives a crazy opportunity to play chromatic notes! And of course, it is definitely more interesting then usual 17-key kalimbas, imho. I played chromatic notes a lot in these videos: Evil Morty Theme (Damaged Coda): kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zp3Pg4l_pNqFia8 Hedwig's theme (Harry Potter): kzbin.info/www/bejne/i2fTh5qLg65sm6M Cantina Band: kzbin.info/www/bejne/epSYXoyBgbiGlcU And it is unreal to transcribe these songs (or some jazz songs, for example) for a 17-key kalimba and save their original mood. If you want, you can try to play the chromatic kalimba, why not! It's fun! 😁
