Excited to see the Holosun video. They deserve a deep dive video and research since they are such a massive part of the optics market today, both for their cheap optics and their more expensive ones. Cheers fellas.
@brianchandler7118 Жыл бұрын
I am as well, I have a holosun 510c red dot and I’ve beat the crap out of this optic for the past 3 years I’ve had it and it’s always pinpoint accurite when I need that 200 yard coyote or something! I know people harp on holosun but I’d like to see a Trex arms durability test done on it. Like I said mine has been literally thrown from a vehicle on a rifle many times and endured falls and impacts . Only bad thing is open emitter but cmon Trex arms, the poors need to be satisfied 😂👍🏻
I obtained a prototype holosun rifle optic in 2020 for review but it never got released to the public because of the coof. Essentially its a 515GT-RD but with a screw-on battery cap instead of the tray that holds the battery with those two tiny torx screws. I broke one on a 6.5lb AR10 from the bolt slamming forward too hard and holosun gave me another prototype replacement. Both serial numbers are under 100. Edit: I've pushed this optic and a HM3X magnifier to 500yds no issues.

Also looking forward to their opinion since Holosun OEM manufactures many of Vortex/Sig/PA's red dots.

For the money they seem good. I have several, mostly the rotary knob ones. I have one original push button version, and the new push button version. The turrets on the rotary and new push button are better than holosons. I have had issues with the holosun turrets. The detent gets screwed up and it becomes hard to turn. The primary arms have more relflection when looking towards the sun than the holosuns I've used.

I like my US made stuff but when you get down to it, its an aluminum housing that has a little red light inside. Its not exactly a rocket ship we are talking about. I cant stomach paying $1000 for a T2 when a $350 Holosun will do the same thing and be just as reliable (in my experience). I also own EoTech optics as well and they are great, but if it ever dies I am not confident I would spend the extra money on one again.

I run the vortex spark solar on several platforms and have nothing but great things to say. The mount sucks for sure but that’s an easy fix. Clear dot and very reliable in my opinion. I have them on fighting rifles so bullseye precision is not what I’m looking for which makes the 1 minute clicks no biggie. Further, I have had zero issues getting a solid zero.
@Sleepless_in206 Жыл бұрын
In a self defense situation, If I had to shoot through a crowd of people to eliminate the threat, and defend myself, I would try to aim with bullseye precision. But if I had to, in a self defense scenario, and the person is hiding behind a busy crowded sidewalk full of people, and my only option is to defend myself, then I would aim through the crowd but only in a self defense situation.
