Star Wars has so much potential for any type of game so much lore and non canon things that could easily be turned into a bad ass game. I can’t wait till these gaming studios get shut down and people who care about games come back!

A small correction is that the Yavin Station DLC was available for the original Xbox. You needed Xbox Live and was priced at $5.99. It was released alongside the PC release I think, a couple months later A bunch of original Xbox games had DLC downloadable from Xbox Live in Halo 2 and Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2. A lot of people just didn't want to spend money on a high speed internet connection (which was typically only on expensive Cable TV packages), an Xbox, the Xbox game, and then an Xbox Live subscription. A $5.99 on top of pretty expensive services and consoles at the time meant a lot of people missed out on it.

Also notable, the Xbox Classic version of KOTOR1 on the XboxOne store has the dlc included. I bought the game not knowing about the dlc station and had full access to it, even equipping Canderous the Ultimate Heavy Blaster from the shopkeep there

The two crystals you can buy from the space station guy are cool upgrades. Unique color (orange and some sort of blue) and stats for the lightsabers.

Carth's Blasters are also one of the best items in Kotor 2. Once i found them in the Dantoine Jedi Temple while looking for the lightsaber parts.

A common misconception is that keen and critical strike stack multiplicatively. They do not. Instead critical strike multiplies the base chance (10%->40%) and then keen adds the base chance to that new value (40%->50%). StrategyWiki has a breakdown of how it works.

This is great information! As far as I know my stun math should still be good if I actually paid attention in probability class haha. But it would be fun to breakdown chances on keen weapons also!

@@logeeman8 Yeah, I only learned this when I was playing though KOTOR II with a single saber and critical strikes earlier this year and noticed I wasn't criting frequently enough, so I checked the in game log and the math wasn't adding up for the rolls. And I've been regularly playing these games since before KOTOR II came out.

Nice video bro, I love KOTOR so much easily one of my favorite games of all time. Yusanis’ brand was my favorite of these. I remember running a light side melee build that felt like it destroyed everything in my way with that weapon. Combined with the force power buffs it was honestly one of the strongest builds I ever played.

That’s one of the best things about this game. Any build you do can be made to destroy your enemies. With the force buffs you can basically become invincible and output insane damage. I might look to do a melee run with no buffs as a pure soldier type.

So a bit of explanation to the whole Modifications and Heavy Repeaters/Weapons. Bioware was adapting the Star Wars PnP (Pen and Paper) game to a digital medium. The Modifications in the PnP was mainly for Character Crafted weapons, ranging from the Vibro weapons, which included Daggers, Swords, Pikes, Staves, Clubs, Gauntlets and so on. All the way up to Heavy weapons, which also included Flak type cannons (Can't remember their name), to Grenade launchers, and so on. But one of the least Modifiable weapons in the whole thing was Repeaters which are in the Heavy Weapons Class, except for the Light Repeater which was classed as a Blaster Rifle (Which was classed as Heavy Weapons in Kotor). So many people neve bothered with the modification options with the heavy weapons since they could at maximum have 2 mods, compared to the 5 for Blaster Rifles, Light Weapons (Lightsabers, gauntlets,. shotas and so on so forth), and vibro weapons. So I highly suspect that Bioware just didn't think it was necessary for the Heavy Weapons to be modable as the other weapons. Same as very few characters even used them in the first place. But to be honest, and I know people will likely give me some slack on this; Most Repeater weapons do attack multiple times, per attack, so they keep up with the modable weapons. Specially if you get the Rapid Shot (Flurry for ranges weapons). But they will still lack the overall damage per hit that other weapons have, which gives them a higher advantage. And with the limited time Bioware had to work on the game, they didn't really have the time to flesh out every single weapon category to fit every playstyle.

Correction, the crit chance doesn't stack multiplicatively with the keen-adjusted crit chance - it multiplies the base chance. So Sanasiki's blade without keen has a 10% chance to crit, 40% with master critical strike. With keen it has a 20% chance to crit, 50% with master critical strike.

Saul Karath's Sith Assassin pistol does 7-19 total damage + a 50% DC10 stun. It only does 6-9 energy damage, but it also has 1-10 ion damage as well.

Man I’ve played through kotor maybe 10-15 since I was a kid, I’ve watched hundreds of kotor videos, and I absolutely love this presentation of the game, is there anyway you could make a video of how to read through these stats?

@@logeeman8 would definitely suggest a full on run through of anything stat related from basic to advanced, I understood the basics of the weapon stats, personally I always just chose the weapons with the highest roll chance 😂, but when you started adding all the modifiers in, it added a whole new layer of the game that I never even looked at, maybe you could do an updated breakdown of just different elements of this game

I've seen multiple places that say it and I believe it does. Some places say it doesn't as well as two-handed having balance even if its not mentioned in some places.

The heavy weapons and blaster rifles are weird. It gets even stranger when you realise that two-handed feat doesn't effect them. It doest make sence to me 🤷‍♂️

That’s also why I generally dislike that Candeeous amd zaalbar get ranged weapons lol. But I understand why the baster for a Wookie is probably necessary 😆 it doesn’t fit with their character builds at all

It's because of an unimplemented, but intended feature for heavy weapons. They were meant to give an additional attack per round, like double bladed melee weapons. Check out the repeating blaster attacks restoration mod for this! It makes a heavy weapons canderous actually viable rather than always having to go for melee to get the most out of him. Keep in mind though, that the Yavin DLC items were made later, when the missing extra attack was already known, and are balanced for just 1 attack per round. So they go crazy with it!
