Thank you for giving the Cavs some time! I wasn’t expecting it to go half the show, but I really enjoyed the analysis.

Mobley doesn’t always hunt for his own shot, but his most underrated aspect is his composure and cold bloodedness in the clutch
@danielspath4579Ай бұрын
Thank you for playing Cleveland attention. This team is very different than last years, with the same team.

The Cavs have Instituted a basic rule: If Mobley gets the rebound, he brings it up and drives. It has supercharged the speed of the offense and gets him in one v one situations against backpedealing bigmen. He will occasionally fire ahead to a streaking guard on the wing, but they always run immediately when he grabs it. Also, the Cavs are 18-2 over their last 20 when Dean Wade starts. He is the most underrated defender in the NBA. His agility to start on a guy like Brunson and size to switch onto centers is a feature Strus can't provide. Wade should continue to start.

I agree completely. I love that they have made roles simplified and Wade is a top 3&D type of player.

Dean had a stretch where he was the #1 highest rated wing stopper in the NBA last year.

Bruh I was talking Wade stats recently, Cavs were 36-18 when Dean Wade played at all last season, 21-11 when he started. It's insane how good the team is when he's at PF (edit: meant SF).

If you hear Atkinson talk you see and hear how great of a coach he is. There’s a reason why the French national team hired him as the main assistant coach

Thankyou for covering Gradey, he's been a revelation this season. When I watched his Kansas tape I saw the potential but seeing it realized on the NBA level is amazing to watch

Love Adam's segment on spacing being just as important as shooting. Leg brought up a great point on Mobley impacting the possession despite not being a pick-n-pop 4/5 shooting threat. I see Trayce Jackson Davis. as another interesting example of this where he can still impact the floor offensively without being a shooting threat. Coincidentally, the warriors has a top 5 offense with an offensive rating of 118.6 (small sample size ofc). One interesting thing to note about Trayce, from the hustle stats. He has been averaging almost 10 screen ast pts a game.

Cavs have had a handful of easy wins but they also had to beat the big teams on their schedule. Starting 7-0 isn't easy no matter the schedule and they deserve some love for their effort so far. Could see them going 10-0.

Ok this podcast is Excellent. I like this guy on the left a lot. He said something about Spida I have complained about for years, he hogs the ball and takes crazy shots when it’s not needed. That hero ball crap. I felt like he was stunting DG and Mobley growth. No fault of his own. It’s a coaching issue. I love how Atkinson puts the ball in Garland and Mobley hands more and has Spida playing real 2 ball. He never really played 2 ball in Utah they tried to bring in Conley but Mitchell didn’t allow the system to work properly bc he just did hero ball when it got tight. That’s everyone complaints about Spida. Is he can’t be a number 1 on a chip team. Let’s see if he makes that change this year. He has to trust Darius. Who for the second time out of three teams was the closer in the fourth (Knicks and Bucks gm2) he was the best player on the floor. So let DG and Mobley cook Spida

They didn't even mention Strus hasn't played a game yet and he's one of their most important role players. The 3pt percentage and volume will only increase as guys get healthy.

Jokic has still been better than Davis. Davis has been great, but Joker is still dominating, even if the Nuggets bench has been a tire fire.

I have a comment for no one. Legs is so wrong on the Pritchard point. His game hasn’t changed at all other than he used to occasionally get too far into the paint and get met by a shot blocker and not really have a plan other than dribble away. He has cleaned that up. But really what’s kept him from producing a lot is just the coaching staff. He was always behind 2 or 3 other guards, smart, brogdon, jrue, white, the Celtics went big is first year and only played 1 gaurd. And Prichards elite skill is ball handling. He’s always on the floor with 2 or 3 other ball handlers that are or have been all stars. So he was effectively a catch and shoot guy who can’t switch defensively so he can’t play the Celtics defense. The coaching staff just didn’t use him. They finally trust him enough defensively. And his teammates are mature enough to let him handle the ball while he’s out there and he’s flourishing.

A.D. is looking great this year, but he does have a bad match up. Sabonis takes his lunch money every time they meet. Edit: imagine if the Lakers took Buddy instead of Russ like most of us wanted them to.

Not only that but it was the second of a back to back and the 3rd game in 4 nights. 7 games in 11 days. When the bucks punched that hard in the first qtr I as a diehard cavs fan would have been ok with them packing it in. But that’s not this team! We’ve got heart and hard work and hustle.
