I’m back! I just love to look for what I’m looking for in your videos 💗Did you found completely necessary to have the student workbook? I have one child, we’ll be using the Grade 1. And, if you had to choose only one, which one would you absolutely get Daily Science or Skill Sharpeners Science? I don’t want to overwhelm my daughter with a lot. We have a nature study curriculum and it’s not going great with it, and I want to have something that’s basic and engaging. I also have a marine biology unit. Thank you for your amazing videos 🥰

If I could only get one, I’d get the Daily Science (just the teachers version) because I feel like the science is more robust. But the Skill Sharpeners offers experiments and colorful fun. The exercises are swifter as well. So I think they play together really nicely.

No, I'm sorry! I haven't filmed one yet. When I do, it will generally be organized by subject and grade level. Is there a particular grade/subject you're interested in? I'll move your choice up in my filming queue. :)

What are some supplements you recommend for this curriculum?

We use these as a steady rhythm, but I wouldn’t call it our core. We generally use several animal/science encyclopedias (by DK, NatGeo, and Usborne) as our spines, and we explore what catches their fancy. Next year, we will be using SCI 3 as our core together, and my eldest will also be doing Real Science Odyssey Bio 2.
