Holy crap, Evan! That was a STELLAR freestyle! That unresponsive Shoot the Moon? Epic! All the slack, that bind at the end, those behind the back catches? Dammit, man, you get better every time I see you. Gentry, you're the man, but you better watch out!

There's no need to be like that, man. I'm quite aware of what you say, I was just pointing out well-executed parts of his routine that I enjoyed. Although to be honest, I don't guess I've seen that shoot the moon thing before, but maybe he did it at world's or something, and I just wasn't paying attention.
@nictheperson67098 жыл бұрын
He did it in PNWR.

Okay, fair enough. It's been a while since I watched that freestyle, and I suppose I forgot about it. It still doesn't address the main point of what I said, either time.

Champion in my heart for no doubt. Maybe not as technical as Zach, maybe Gentry has stronger competing ability. But I gonna say Evan's freestyle is exactly what I think should be future of yoyoing.

I honestly thought this would be a redo of his wyyc freestyle. But this. This is mindblowing
@tedphua83488 жыл бұрын
He 100% should have won. His is like the only few at the top who didnt reuse their wyyc freestyle. The creativity is strong with this one
@ConnorSeals8 жыл бұрын
Yeah he should have won because he didn't reuse his worlds freestyle... The logic is strong with this one.
@tedphua83488 жыл бұрын
Ok maybe i want completely clear when writing this comment. I was saying he should have won not because he didnt reuse his freestyle i was just mentioning it.

I want to see him win worlds next year. He makes yo-yoing LOOK as fun as it is. His tricks are insane but to be able to have that much fun on stage while dealing with the anxiety of competing is huge. Damn Evan way to go!!!

Gonna be the negative one here, worlds freestyle was better. Even if it doesn't score as well, it's way more unique and I found it more enjoyable. But I totally see why he did it this way and to be honest I would have done the same.
@metalboy51508 жыл бұрын
Got to be negative about his world's freestyle...it was quite a bit sloppier than he usually is, and for this one, he went a lot cleaner. I'm just not sure what you think he did there that was so unique that's missing from this, or what's not unique about this freestyle (aside from the nifty floor trick he did at worlds).
@nictheperson67098 жыл бұрын
In my opinion worlds was much cleaner and better executed than this. Also, the music use was quite a bit better at worlds. Also, Evan stated he was trying to score higher based on what the people who were doing well in contests were doing and there's nothing wrong with that but this felt like it had more of the generic tricks that others were doing, and if I wanted to see more tech, I'd watch a Zach or Takeshi freestyle. Not saying this wasn't an amazing freestyle and it certainly is more favourable to the scoring system. Then again, I'm not generally happy when players do something other than what they usually do but the extra tech will probably grow on me. Just kinda hope he hits the next freestyle a bit more cleanly and throws in a little bit more of the bangers he's known for as well as getting the music use to about the same level as worlds.

whaoo0w! Evan, you should be the one who is in the first place not Gentry. I like your style. It is very unique. I also like Gentry's style but the thing is he always repeat his freestyle in every competition. all of it,over and over and over and over again and always in 1st place in every nationals even though he has multiple errors? I dont think so... My GOD, Gentry you're the GREAT! haha lol

@ryanc29118 жыл бұрын
The thing is.. the only way for him to win is if he has a full 3 minutes of tech. Those floor tricks are fucking insane, but don't score that many points
@nictheperson67098 жыл бұрын
Well he didn't win anyway, so I kinda wish he'd just stuck with what makes him a unique player.
@metalboy51508 жыл бұрын
