I have the 400AW and I love it, holds everything, two cameras, lenses big and small, tripod, and daily carry stuff up top. I've made mine basically a half and half, camera bag in the bottom and regular bag in the top chamber.

I got the Photo Sport 200AW 2 after discovering it in your videos and I really like it. Packing light and carefully, it has been the only bag that I brought with me on a couple of long weekend trips. That's what I like about the lack of dividers. The new bag looks good as well but seems to serve slightly different needs. I may eventually change to the same bag that I have now but in the 300 size for slightly more space

I have the older one, can still fit 2 dslr in it. Love how protected it is and can customize where you want to put the tripod and water bottle holder. Also comes with a pouch but i don't use it.

Nice! I have the older version of the 450AW and the tripod leg holder comes in the accessory bag that came wit it. My legs were too big for the holder so I went and bought a 511 tactical handcuff holder to put on there and it works great. It is basically the same thing that came with it just a little bigger and it has a flap. Enjoy the new bag!

Hey Evan. I watched this video before buying my first camera bag. I really liked the idea of the side pocket, so I made sure my new bag has one. You have the tipod pocket and a pouch that come with it. And then use the extra strap to place it where you want on the bag. I have the 250 version and this bag is insanely useful !

I own both the 350 and 450 mark I. Best camera bags I ever had. You can completely arrange the inside to your wishes. You can freely attach several items on the outside loops, also according to your wishes. With the mark I these accessories (tripod, water bottle pouch, extra pouch) came included. The 350 serves as my day to day city pack, the 450 as my ‘hiking’ pack. I do feel the 350 is a bit too small to have two DSLR bodies, but I usually only carry one when shooting cityscapes. The 450 easily houses my D810 with 24-120, 16-35 and 70-300 + D7200, a 100mm filter case, a tabletop tripod from leophoto and various other accessories. One thing that’s not a 100% (but maybe they fixed it with the mark II) is the padding on the straps. Before I owned a Tamrac Corona and it’s straps definitely felt more comfortable to wear.

I just received my first bag yesterday, lowepro video dslr 250 aw, its old model but got it for bargain 56€ brand new, and damn it feels solid. Pretty much same specs than your new bag but smaller and less camera gear fits in but great for my one body and 2 lenses + film point&shoot etc..

Oh my God this is a video that I have been looking for because I am also upgrading from my Orange bag which I took for my everyday bag. I stumbled upon your video and you have the exact same set up. I have been looking for something comparable to my Orange bag to replace it with... The 2 contenders that i have stumbled upon has been the peak design and the protractic which is what your featuring. I have been on the fence for the past several days trying to figure out which one I will go with a replacement for my Orange bag and I think you sold me to go with the pro tactic. Great choice Mr. Ranft. I've the previous version and it's super. This new version seems to be made even better in the top pocket and has more segments to customize the interior. When I travel I feel like the 350 lack of some space and the 450 could be better but 350 is much better in general and fits better. Only my opinion of course. Hope you enjoy.

I’ll jump on the bandwagon and say how much I love my protactic 450. It’s larger than the bag you have but holds all my gear and is great for city and hiking. The straps around the outside allow you to clip things like tripods to the bag and I gave even tied a DJI phantom 3 to this bag while hiking

Probably the only bag you'll ever need. I went too far and got the protactic 450. It's huge haha but I figured it's big enough to carry my gear and whatever I pack hiking. Don't forget there's a huge number of military grade pouches and gear that will seamlessly attach to the loops all over the bag.

as someone who hikes a ton and always brings a DSLR kit I've gone thru a ton of bags. One of which was the protactic 350. Hopefully they made those side pockets bigger because they were just too small for a 5D mark 3. the way the back panel was flat and rigid and the thin straps just made it not comfortable at all. but you only really notice it after a few miles with a full load. attaching a tripod to the outside is not a good idea as weight that is not close to your back will pull back and cause more pulling on the shoulder straps. also all of those zippers and extra straps sewed on for molle webbing just adds so much unnecessary weight. for an everyday city bag, its probably fine. for actual outdoor use it's pretty much always better to get a real hiking bag and use camera inserts. My lowepro bag made it maybe about 50 trail miles before it started looking rough.

Can it hold a professional dslr with vertical grip. What is discouraging is its height which is only 18cm. All the lenses have to be placed horizontally. Wish lowepro increased it to 20cm.

I've been looking into this bag, amongst so many others, as a bag for my camera equipment. I don’t know which laptop you use but can it fit a 2017-2018 15 inch MacBook Pro? The info says up to 13 inch but the laptop compartment specs are almost the same as a 15 inch.

you will find that the quick access patch on the side is too small for a d850. the old version the top door is a PITA. way too small

That bag is brand new. You can‘t even buy it in a lot of places yet! It’s an update of an older version that came out a couple years ago and which i am using (also the 350). But all the things you say you like about this bag, are things that the older and cheaper version could also do. Anyway I hope you like it and enjoy using it as much as I do!

I'm telling you what that bag is amazing. I got mine a few months ago. It's so good for traveling locally and abroad. I can carry almost everything but clothes in it. I don't have the MKII though. But the lowpro is basically the photographers super bag.

Tony Glaser the online description says that the 350 fits up to a 13” laptop but MacBooks are typically slimmer than most other branded laptops, would you think that a 15” MacBook Pro would fit in the 350 aw???

Those are definitely nice day bags (using the previous version) but the storage is pretty limited for any kind of extended travel or hiking etc. I have no idea why they didn’t include a dedicated front zipper pocket. I end up having to throw everything in the main compartment area. I’m most likely going to go with the Tenba 24L bag when I upgrade. Same style but took it a step further with the weather resistant shell and front pocket.

Michael Sessum I agree. There are also no side pockets for water bottles or umbrella which is a dealbreaker for me. I ended up with a Wandrd bag and couldn’t be happier. Way better designed than this one here.

Austin Schargorodski exactly. The pocket for a water bottle seems so insignificant until you realize you don’t have one. Makes those hot days pretty tough not being able to carry anything to drink.

I would have gotten something smaller than a 31L if I could but I've got a surface book 2 15 inch laptop so it's hard to find a big that fits it confortably. Cheers mate.
