I loved the 7th point of "Let your inspiration guide you". We have to trust this as we really do have something within us which guides when there is a long journey ahead, same goes for writing a book which is a long journey, so trusting our Intuition will help us out if we trust it. Peace.

The thing to remember is to try and give up the expectations. If you have a basic money source other than writing than all you should be focussing on is what Anne said - Writing about what pains you the most and what gives you the pleasure most. Just using those two every single day and not where will this book be sold if it ever gets selected anywhere by any publisher or those demotivating questions.

As a slow reader (but avid writer), I haven't read tons of fiction. That said, I've read a lot of Paulo Coelho's books and really LOVED some of them. My first one was a gift. I can say that person sure understood me well. I'd listen to anything he's got to say. ;) Maeve Binchy sure has written a lot! This is my first time hearing her and I loved what she said. I like J.K. Rowling saying don't discourage your kids. Add to that, "to do it well will take a lot of hard work. Start reading, start writing." I love telling my students: "J.K. Rowling, 7 Harry Potter books, 400 million copies sold and read. She's got like a billion dollars. She can do anything she wants. Know what she wants to do? Write more books. That's what makes a great life." Being exactly who you are, who you've worked to be. . TIm Ferriss. yes! Anne Lamotte Bird by Bird also Word By Word. I think one's a book the other may be a seminar. Anne Lamotte says that no amount of fame or money will make up for sitting alone with a blank piece of paper, so make sure you're happy sitting with that blank piece of paper, because if you don't love that, it ain't worth it. '

The book i'm planning to write is called 'Unusual Gliding Rain' It's about this unusual zebra foal named Rain, that is all black with white specks along its face, neck, and chest. She had nine big splotches of white on her back (Which later in my novel resembles her lives once she defines the laws of only stallions being the leader.) She discovers that she has a life long line in her ancestry of zebras like her. Her ma' tries to warn her of the dangers there is but Rain continues her quest. This is a book about one unusual zebra and her friend Whistle who proves everything wrong, with only two hooves. It will explain how you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. I hope I don't ditch the idea because I am a bit young to be writing a whole dang novel, but this helps. This is one of the lines, 'I felt myself place my ears flatly, almost painful. I felt my nose flare and my heart pound. It was like boiling plasma was coursing through my veins and shooting out of my glare.'

Less is more is important as well. As a writer with fast publishing success, Here is what is working for me 1. Be the person you admire and dream about being, when you write 2. Outline at least small percentage of your piece. 3. When you don't know more than 5% of your subject, write about it. 4. First Master 3 literary devices 5. Get a mentor 6. Learn how the famous writer do and you do it just as good or better. 7. Use your sight to find your piece if you don't know how to begin your piece. 8. Read new work daily and dissect it to see how it was put together. 9. Get feedback from people who are not your friends or family 10. Do not judge the quality of your work unless it has sat for a while and you haven't thought of it. NOTE: FOLLOW ALL THE WRITING RULES OF FAMOUS WRITERS, ESPECIALLY NOBLE PRIZE WINNER, WRITERS OF FAMOUS CLASSIC WORK, AND PULITZER PRIZE WINNERS.

I do write things, I have written so many things so far, I write articles sometimes, I write my thoughts, new things I discover about my life, my experience in life, I was writing my diary about two months ago but I stopped, I had a period of time where I was writing everyting in my mind. I think about writing a book from time to time, like about my experience in life cause I love to share what I learn from life, and I write quotes as well, sometimes. I consider myself a writer, but it's kinda just nothing more than a hobby.

Good morning Maryland. The world has changed. You can ePublish in amazon without rejection, bureaucratic delay. It is so easy to start today than it was 10 years ago. My favorite writer is Anne Rice. I think that trying to be a very successful writer is like trying to be a successful actor or artist: "many are called but few are chosen" as it says in the Bible (I think). Write for fun, and self-fulfillment, and minor, limited success, and be happy in achieving that much. Maybe the "stars will align" for you and you will achieve major success, but remember that very few do.
