Phenomenal documentary for 'The Real Deal' himself. Holyfield deserves to be mentioned and praised alongside the greatest heavyweights in history and not merely as the greatest Cruiserweight of all-time-as great as an accolade that already is. Evander had it all: He was highly skilled and technical in his approach to dismantling bigger guys than him and there was no 'wasted' punch when he fights. Every punch he threw-whether be it a jab or a haymaker-was thrown with power and precision. People could say all that they want about his style but he definitely earned his place in the hall of fame with pure heart, hardwork, and determination from start to finish. Truly, he is one of the greatest to ever lace up a pair of gloves. Thank you so much for this, Joseph Vincent! I hope you would do next for the iconic Smokinʼ Joe Frazier. His Fight against Bert Cooper was the same. Just are you kidding how are you standing (shades of Gatti/Ward or even later that fight with Bowe). To this day, I have never seen a HW fight that had that much action. Bowe was 6'4-5ish and Evander was 6'2 maybe 210. And they stood there and beat the ever loving shit out of each other. Say what you want about the man, but he had the heart of an absolute lion. Prime Evander was almost too much for anyone that fought (Tyson and Lewis included). The Holyfield from a few years before Tyson lost to Douglas, and to right after the first Bowe fight was almost unstoppable. Only guy that could have beat him was Bowe at that time. Great doc. Thanks for the hard work putting all this together. Evander has always been one of my favorite fighters. I started paying more attention to the sport during the Olympics. How he was robbed and still was humble with no excuses. Fighters today could learn a thing or two from that. It never stopped him from achieving his goals. He has always been a class act. I was lucky enough to meet him at a meat and great during his visit to the troops. I wish you would have added the Moore rematch after all that's how the real deal unified the IBF/WBA. I'm glad you didn't show the end of his stellar career it was heart breaking watching it the 1st time around.

Holyfield is a damn warrior. It's safe to say if Tyson and Holyfield fought a lot earlier Holyfield would've had his number then.

No
@kendbrowns2 жыл бұрын
@@tonybleau6219 No? You don't find it odd that Tyson, who is 4 years younger than Holyfield, was fighting an unknown James Douglas prior to his rape conviction, instead of the #1 challenger at the time in Evander? In fact, Holyfield was interviewed immediately after Tyson destroyed Michael Spinks in 1988, with reporters asking him about his desire to fight Tyson, yet somehow the two wouldn't meet in the ring until 1996, almost a decade later. They were scheduled to fight in 1991, but Tyson pulled out of the bout due to an alleged rib cartilage injury. By the time the fight actually took place, Tyson's camp was confident that the now 34-year-old Holyfield was washed up and a shell of his former self, and so Tyson prepared to fight his first real opponent since his TKO of Spinks. No offense to guys like Razor Ruddock and Frank Bruno, but Tyson spent the best part of his career fighting boxers that have no real legacy in the sport, while Holyfield fought actual contenders like Riddick Bowe 2x, Lennox Lewis 2x and Tyson 2x, resulting in 3 victories, 2 defeats and a draw. Tyson, on the other hand, was a combined 0-3 vs Holyfield and Lewis. Case closed!
