Not sure why Amy has not been cemented in the billboard charts, Rolling Stones, or better yet, the history books as one of our worlds best vocalists of all time.
@larrylindgren94842 жыл бұрын
Because she doesn't sell herself. You don't see her at every venue where there are cameras like a lot of the so-called artists do. She's not chart friendly. She doesn't write songs that sound like everything you are hearing on the charts. She doesn't chase the money that way. If you don't chase the money, you get lost. Amy for all her talents gets lost in the sea of crap that is top 100 radio. If you sound different you pretty much don't get played. You have to fit the formula of what top 100 sounds like.
@alexdawson93792 жыл бұрын
@@larrylindgren9484 You are right: "She doenst sell herself". And thats good. I have to do what you like and be loyal yourself first and other that support you on your journey. Its about who has more influence/relations. Look at "monkeys" like Beyonce, Britney... The ones of the "best" are usually who shakes their booties :). And they got a so great image by the Media. Not even god have that much commercials :).

Because she doesn’t conform. She’s one of those rare artists that still creates the kind of music she wants to create, not what a label or the public expects her to create. 🖤

“Jai guru dev” is a traditional Hindu acknowledgement of a teacher: “praise to the divine teacher.” When the Beatles first heard it, it was in terms of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi giving thanks to HIS teacher, but when the line was added to the song, it was conceived of as a more universal acknowledgement of ALL spiritual teachers throughout history rather than to any specific person.. For Amy to sing this is amazing. I got the chance to see her live again in Chicago. She is an amazing artist and I will always love her music 🎶 🎵 ❤️

@Hexagonian2 жыл бұрын
The music industry never adapted to the internet age. Sales should have translated into views but instead, record labels have seemed to create their own synthetic fanbase for their chosen artists by surrounding us with the same artists on every speaker. Evanescence started at both the perfect and worst moment as they benefited from the huge online audience but too early for the industry to bet on later success since they had maybe already "peaked".
