An absolutely stunning song. Amy wrote this song for her now husband. It’s probably the only uplifting love song in her entire repertoire. Lol. Your “open door at the end of the album” metaphor is actually genius! It makes perfect sense. You should check out the music video. It was one of the singles of this album, and it’s probably one of the most beautiful videos.

The Open Door is my absolute favourite album of them and I know it’s most fans’ favourite too :) As I’m listening to the whole album with you, I think this is my ranking of the songs: 1. Lithium 2. The Only One 3. Your Star 4. Weight of the World 5. Snow White Queen 6. Good Enough 7. Call Me When You’re Sober 8. Cloud Nine 9. Sweet Sacrifice 10. Lacrymosa 11. Like You 12. All That I Am Living For 13. Lose Control This is really hard ranking haha because I literally love all the songs. I absolutely love the bottom songs too just not as much as the others. There’s literally not one bad song in this album. All of them are unique in their own way

I love this song, its so unexpectedly happy and bittersweet for an Evanescence song..but its even cuter that she wrote this about her now husband, Josh. ( whom both now have a son together). its just all around beautiful.
