Glad to see you went for the "band version" instead of the album version. I saw Evanescence perform the more aggressive version of this song live in concert back in 2003 - the first time they played the "band version" at a concert - and it was an absolutely amazing performance. Just Amy Lee and a keyboard singing to a practically dead-silent crowd until it was time for the rest of the band to crush the bridge to the instrumental. When they wrapped the song, it was silent in the venue for about ten eternally-long seconds while everyone processed the work of art they just experienced. This cover brought back all my memories of that concert with Halocene's own work of art, and for that I thank you.

This song is also iconic to me and came at the perfect time in my life as my mom passed away on 7/18/20. When the original came out, my grandmother on my mother's side passed away and on the way to the funeral, this song was playing in my head from opening chord to the final note and during the bridge, my mom grabbed my hand and held it closer as if she heard the song in my head. So lemme just start by saying I'm a classically trained guitar player of nearly 20 years experience. I liked this cover but i felt that she was an octave down for most of the song and i played this video over top of both the recorded music video version and the live version from 2004 with 16M views. And all i have to say is wow. I have never been so wrong in my life. She went note for note in the same register as Amy for the majority of the song and only dropped an octave on the first "but you still have" but the "all of me" that followed was IDENTICAL as Amy as well as the outro "ooo's". I stand corrected and if i could give you a standing ovation i would, amazing cover and fantastic job matching one of the most amazing voices of our age note for note girl. Keep rockin.

Jesus this song. My first love moved away in middle school, she called the homeless shelter i was living in to talk to me. She promised she'd come back one day and give me the date we both hoped for. We were 13. When we got a place I didnt get her a number, it happened so fast. I listened to this song, I didnt date anyone else or show any interest in anyone till 4 years or more. Then I get a call, someone told me they saw her, she was back in the area, and was asking about me! I was so happy I deleted this song off my computer. I found out her address We were 18. Before I found her I got another call, she died. They found out a week before I did. she had died a couple months earlier, about 24 hours after my friend talked to her, I was one of the last things she talked about. I was in my car, with directions to her families house to drop off a letter. She married a guy at the time with my same name, same haircut, and named her kid chris. Everytime I hear this song I think of her smile and the good times, and i am crushed. Every couple years i wipe her grave off, not many visit her anymore. its been 12 years since she left, 20 since I heard her laugh. and 5 minutes since this song broke my heart all over again. But dont fret, its the best cover of it ive ever heard. plus, the song is so iconic to me, its paired like a memory. It also means that I truly loved her. RIP Erica Perez 1988-2007

Songtext;) : I'm so tired of being here Suppressed by all my childish fears And if you have to leave I wish that you would just leave 'Cause your presence still lingers here And it won't leave me alone These wounds won't seem to heal, this pain is just too real There's just too much that time cannot erase When you cried, I'd wipe away all of your tears When you'd scream, I'd fight away all of your fears And I held your hand through all of these years But you still have all of me You used to captivate me by your resonating light Now, I'm bound by the life you left behind Your face it haunts my once pleasant dreams Your voice it chased away all the sanity in me These wounds won't seem to heal, this pain is just too real There's just too much that time cannot erase When you cried, I'd wipe away all of your tears When you'd scream, I'd fight away all of your fears And I held your hand through all of these years And you still have all of me I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone But though you're still with me, I've been alone, I'm alone When you cried, I'd wipe away all of your tears When you'd scream, I'd fight away all of your fears I held your hand through all of these years You still have all of me ah, me ah, me ah
