You're correct. She's a classically trained vocalist and piano player, and she layers her harmonies in studio tracks. :-)
@larrylindgren9484
@larrylindgren9484 3 жыл бұрын
It's one the the best things she does. Harmonizing with herself. Singing sometimes 4 or 5 different things layered on top of each other in some songs. She said when they didn't have tons of money it was cheaper for her to do all the parts than to hire other people to do it. It worked and she just keeps doing it because it works so well even today. With her range she can sing all the higher and low harmonies easily. I believe this helped her mess so well singing with out people. helping Hailstorm in her song comes to mind singing back ground vocals. She just perfect filled the background with her voice in that one.

She is NOT classically trained! The only training she has had was a movement coach to learn how to move on stage because she originally had issues being in front of a crowd! But, she has not been classically trained!

she has a talent for writing harmonies that aren't simply a semitone off, but an entirely different countermelody that compliments and harmonises with the main melody. some great examples are "bring me to life", "weight of the world", "cloud nine", "call me when you're sober", "my last breath", "taking over me", "a new way to bleed", "my heart is broken"

My son is black haired with those Caribbean blue eyes. It’s seriously...arresting. When he gets a tan, they really pop, and it’s true, it’s almost hard to look at. It’s freaked me out his whole life, he was born with that hair to his shoulders. I’d look over at him as a baby expecting him to be asleep and he’d just be staring at me with those huge, ethereal blue eyes. Got me every time, lol. It’s a deadly combo.

Every line was written for our situation, I was there for her every time she cried, heard her screams when she was dying and held her and supported through out the years. Although she was gone she was very much in my soul and lived in my mind and behind my eyes for years, even to this day 14 years later. "You still have all of me" Always and Forever mom 1950-2007
