@@gojub3173 It has been said that being a parent and losing a child puts us in a club that nobody ever wants to be in. True!. I don't think others could ever understand. I was a Casualty officer for the US Army and helped families through some of this process, but I didnt fully feel the impact until I was on the other side. I hope you and your family are moving through the grieving process well. It took me about five years and nearly destroyed me but i found that keeping my sons memory alive helped.

This song digs deep, stays there for a while and when one least expects it, it has done it's job to let you know it's okay to move on. Certain songs will stay with you forever when I saw a comment about a father losing his son to cancer. That father will have this song forever etched in his heart and soul. Anyone who has lost a loved can relate to this in some way.

This is my favorite song from Evanescence. Amy Lee is absolutely amazing! Bring Me to Life and Lithium are two other great songs from this band. If you want to hear another soothing beautiful voice I'd suggest checking out Aurora. She is a supremely talented singer-songwriter, dancer, and producer. I'd suggest reacting to Murder Song live at the Nobel Peace Prize.

Late to the party but I have to say this. Your reaction to this song was so amazing to see. I remember how emotional I was when I first heard this song back when it was released and to see you share those feelings so many years later is something really special. Just seeing the raw emotions on your face almost got me to tear up.

Amy Lee is amazing and she hits deep like Chester from Lincoln Park. This is definitely one of her softer songs. Try, call me when you're sober, going under or Snow White Queen ❤

Welcome to your Evanescence journey! I always suggest keeping it chronological: 1) Bring Me to Life 2) Going Under 3) Everybody's Fool 4) Broken (w/ Seether) 5) At this point, either do the Anywhere But Home concert or move on to the next album, with Call Me When You're Sober. We're all very excited for you!

This song was just getting popular when I left for basic training. It was my first time away from home, I was 2 weeks into basic training which is hard as it is, then I heard it on the radio one Sunday during some training downtime and I thought of everyone I had left behind and I straight bawled. It still gets me every single time.

IMHO there is never any shame in crying when something/someone moves you this much! just means you are mature enough to hear what they are trying to tell you

This song since I first heard it as a young kid still makes me cry and my relationship with the song has deepened over the years. As I have had family pass away, friends that dies, neighbors commit suicide, children in our family go into the foster care system, lost romantic partners, and two of my own babies died. It hits so hard now. One of my ex's when I was in junior high school, his sister died in a house fire. She looked just like Amy Lee, the singer. They played this song at her funeral and it was his sister's favorite band. It was the perfect song.

if you want to hear another gorgeous voice, check out Sinead O'Connor (it's pronounced Shin-aid). Something like the song Prince wrote that she performed flawlessly, "Nothing Compares 2 U". Or some of the folk music she does, like a collaboration with The Chieftains, one is "The Foggy Dew", or another called "He Moved Through the Fair".
