As far as some of us may know, Yui is the daughter of one SEELE's members. There's a possibility that the outcome was expected, and therefore, adulterated/twisted by her desire; Other Characters took their part - The movie also suggests this, to some extent. This may or may not be your answer.

@@unimolecularsmore2832 definitely not lmao. Especially not the series/eoe. Kaji and Toji were the only good characters in the original. The show didn’t not know how to handle character progression or regression and they covered low budget stretches with fake deep pseudo intellectual stuff as bait for people who think they’re deeper than they are. It’s cool concept with some highs but overall it was ruined by weird fan service and an inflated desire to be unique. The rebuilds had a lot of awful moments and the last one was goofy as fuck but at least the ending wasn’t complete dog shit. The music is phenomenal even if overused in parts and misused in others.
