As some of you may know I was planning on using this song when 4.0 came out, I was going to make an AMV using 4.0 and 3.0 together but since it's taking forever for it to even being made I decided to use End of Evangelion instead, which is one of my favorite films of all time.
I've worked on this for a while now and I had to re-render it countless times just to get it right. I hope it came out good enough and I hope you enjoy it. :)

I gotta say, this is one of the best AMVs I have ever seen. Please keep them coming! This is my favorite song from the Evangelion soundtrack, and from one Eva fan to another, I truly appreciate the care you took in making this. I think that Evangelion is one of the most powerful and deep things to come out of pop-culture, anime or otherwise. What you have done is kept the integrity and themes of the series, and framed them in a different way that speaks powerfully to what the series is as a whole, where the visuals and lyrics work together to expound upon the theological themes of the show. I guess what I am trying to say is well done, and I am very excited for more of these.

I'll never forget the first time I saw the EVA go berserk. I was hooked. I started teaching myself CGI modeling and animation 6 months ago using Blender 2.8. I just Uploaded my my first amateur home made Neon Genesis CGI animation to my channel. I made my own EVA because I'm just not very great at modeling yet and couldn't give a replica from the show justice. Check out my first spirited attempt at a fan made AMV.

Putting these scenes together like this, made me realise we have no idea how long final impact from EoE took. In was long enough for Red Eva's to march across the planet, Misato's cross to look rusted, the giant rei to turn into lcl, etc. What I'm saying if you look at Eva3.0 in the context of End of Evangelion, it could very well be taking place DURING final impact, it just takes a VERY LONG time. Even that anime expo short supports it, like showing the ejection plug all red and rusted like it's been there forever, but Shinji is still walking around an empty world while the Red Evas make Eva pyramid and all the red is getting sucked up to the white moon.

Scenes in this amv are taken from most of the evangelion materials. Ep1-26 the redone ep 25 and 26 which are basically EOE film split into 2 episodes. Majority taken from the new theatrical release of the rebuild of evangelion series. Evangelion 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0. the music itself is god's gift which is heard during the climax of evangelion 3.0.

Every time the Old Testament is mentioned anywhere and I remember this quote I heard somewhere: “the first sin humanity committed was making God in our image.” This shit made me think about the mythology in such a different way. Throughout history, there was never a singular GOD. It was just gods of this and that. But there came... just A GOD. An all mighty being of limitless power and beyond literally any of our understanding. And I think that’s where most of the problem comes from! People think of God being a magical sky daddy... but He isn’t. He isn’t even human. He’s just... GOD. And holy fuck man the implications alone make me shiver. Any agency humans could have is so heavily mitigated by material conditions that the outcomes of their lives might as well be predetermined. This is why many Christians vote conservative. That part is actually Shinji's mother being absorbed into Eva 01. It's shown briefly in "Evangelion 3.0" when Shinji is being told the truth about what happened to his mother.

Julian Skilton basically the human spirit tamed inside a machine. Eva 01 is shinji's mother sealed in a giant mech, that is why when he loses control the eva goes berserk and "wakes up". The mechs capabilities depend on the relationship with the pilot. Asukas mech is her mother as well, which is why she can fight against all those angels in the end. She realizes her love for her mother is stronger than her resentment for bering abandoned so she conects more with the eva, allowing her to fight beyond her capabilities. Truly cruel when you think about it.
