@@brucejunior1813 precisely because of that, because it was such a great piece of art in terms of story and character understanding, to the point they we're basically real humans that they made this

@@karlamartinez9759 You made a good comment so I'm gonna try to do the same. Ok, when I watched the series and thought about it later I got to the conclusion that what the author was talking about was "escapism" and the definition of it is this: "the tendency to seek distraction and relief from unpleasant realities, especially by seeking entertainment or engaging in fantasy". All the characters in the series had some sort of personal problem that made they choose to ignore reality and try to live on escapism, but they know all the time that what they are living is a constant lie and they actually miserable and depressed all the time. In the case of the main character he even had the choice (given to him by Lilith) to bring this world of sad reality to an end, making all of us become only one single being, therefore none could be depressed anymore, but that would still be a lie, escapism. Or he could avoid the world ending and face his problems, which represent him beating depression and escapism, the "omedeto (don't know if that's right, but it means congratulations)" ending. My point is: By doing such a story, the author had as inspiration the Japanese culture, depression and escapism of the Japanese people. How a lot of people choose to live in a fantasy land, like cosplaying, being addicted to manga, anime, games, hentai, etc. Making the fantasy world their real one, just to escape the "sad and depressing" one. You might agree with him or not. I don't know if I agree 100%. I think a bit of escapism is good, reality is annoying most of the time, but when you avoid it all the time, that's when it gets dangerous. Ok, when you get the point of the story, what Hideaki was saying there, making a ultimate fantasy land (a themed park) about a work that was made to criticize it... For me it's strange. That's what I meant in my two lined "wtf" first comment. It's easier to just say "wtf" anyways.

I need to go back to Japan now that this exists. Looks pretty badass.
It needs a ride where you can actually be launched like an EVA Or immersed in a plug. Still in love with the experience you shared.

There is that VR rollercoaster in Universal Japan, but that still isn't the true experience, especially since it can just be reprogrammed to whatever else.

There is a "new" VR experience in Tokyo where you get to launch and fight an Angel. Pretty cool for the 5 minutes it lasts.. even though it was a bit easy. Look it up, not hard to find the name of the place. I believe it belongs to a Namco Arcade inside a Mall.

Love this place!!! Went here with my friend and was running around everywhere. The coasters were ok (ええじゃないか was awesome, 高飛車 was a bit of a disappointment, Fujiyama was alright, didn't ride Dondonpa), but Evangelion World ♪( ´▽`) Took pictures everywhere, at the desk with the "Sound" panels around me, in the elevator, etc. This sure brings back memories~~
