16:45 I feel like someone needs to make "how Britain ended slavery" reaction now. Fun fact during the american civil war(north states vs south states, you know) the UK was thinking about supporting the south(UK got cheap imports from the cotton ect) then Lincoln made it a war against slavery to keep the UK from getting involved. The civil war was fought because the states were allowed to leave the USA and become Independent however when a lot of states wanted to leave it was refused so they fought to leave the USA not because the south wanted to keep the slaves and north wanted to free them

Yeah, there's this misconception of a "nerd" and a "geek". Nerd = Book smart that kinda thing Geek = Passionate about specific nicces or particular subjects, like someone who's really into sci-fi or comics etc. Then the term "Neek" was originally to describe a nerdy geek/ geeky nerd but people kind use Neek the way nerd used to be used - to be an insult towards smarter people.

Nerd protagonist in print media -- It took me a minute to think of one, but I came up with my answer: Ichibid Crane. Our guy Ichibod was a 1700s nerd before the word nerd was invented (by Doctor Suess). He was a school teacher, so his job was bossong children rather than work which was hard or brave, work admired by men during Washington Irving's time. Irving's readers would not have respected teachers outside of women or men too old to still perform labor. Ichibod had no talents, no athletic ability, and no rizz. By courting the town sweerheart, he was reaching above his station in life. Irving wrote Ichobod to be unlikeable, the character that the reader hated and wanted something bad to happen to him. Then the supernatural conspires to make something bad happen to him, and everybody else lives happily ever after with him gone. It was the Disney version in the 20th Century that made him unlikeable.

Any sports or competition manga would have a good chance of having a nerd mc. Or some SoL manga as well. 7:41 a book? -Sword Art Online- Video games can't be a passion, smh my head.
