I'm more amazed by the fact that I wouldve never guessed it was iPhone footage

Underrated video, man! You're presentation is great, fun, and engaging and I love your candid review style. I'm gonna pick one of these up, looks like a perfect one man crew tripod!

Great review. Currently debating between this and the svs75. Both look.great, sirui is really onto something here!

what did you go with?
@Jeff_Lathrop2 ай бұрын
@xavierstapleton9780 neither, grabbed the smallrig ad80 legs on sale for $100 and called it good for now. I mostly use a tripod for podcasting and static shots, then handheld or gimbal otherwise. So I cheaped out for now as I'm using mirrorless rigs that are under 10 lbs. They are ok, not great.

I came across the video while looking for a video head for planespotting. In the introduction I saw that you can mount a gimbal. My question: Can you follow aircraft taking off and landing with a video head and gimbal? I ask because an employee at a camera shop said that it doesn't work because the gimbal always tries to compensate for the movements! Thank you and greetings from Erlangen (Germany) 🙏🙏🙏

Appreciate the review! Can't speak from firsthand experience. But based on features and perceived sturdiness (if that counts for anything) this is the most impressive of the budget tripods imo. Have more trust in this than the Smallrig Freeblazers for durability (head is a lot nicer too)
@EvanSchneider3 ай бұрын
Yes, that's the main difference, I think the video head on the SQ75 is far superior to the freeblazer fluid head.

Thanks for the great video, I'm interested in buying the spreader for my manfrotto legs, are they compatible?

Yet another review of the video tripod without a second of the footage taken with the camera on this tripod. The very question is if it's smooth for panning and tilting with long lens - can you make professional looking shots without jerks. Can you make smooth circles? Is is still smooth with 300 mm lens on?

If I have time, I'll make a followup video with footage shot on the actual tripod. Will update back when it's live.

I bought the Ulanzi Video Fast Tripod this summer. I don't know how they compare performance wise but there's just a $100 difference between them. The Ulanzi has 10, 6, 6 stops for pan, tilt and counterbalance. It also has a mid level spreader vs bottom level. I'm not sure what the other differences are.

How are you finding it? Currently deciding between this and your Ulanzi Video Fast Tripod
@o.f.ftrack34442 ай бұрын
@jomarmmanzano it's been fine for me. The only issues I've had were user error. I foolishly had the drag set to the highest setting for the majority of the time that I've had it. It wasn't noticeable in the footage but it was more of a comfort issue for me since I would have to fight the resistance of the tripod head wanting to return to being level. If look for something to complain about, it would be some very minor leveling issues with the legs at times. Meaning since i have ocd, if it's not perfectly flat it bothers me lol since

i have just one question.. why wouldnt you show the footage that you capture with the fluid head? is there something youre trying to hide? ;))
@EvanSchneiderАй бұрын
Honestly, I was so focused on demonstrating the features of this tripod that I didn’t consider shooting footage using the actual tripod. I think I thought it would be boring for people to watch locked off footage or slow pans and tilts, I am assuming people would understand what the footage would look like after seeing the features the tripod has to offer. Genuinely not hiding anything, it is an excellent tripod!

In your video you mentioned that there is another tier of professional tripods that includes all these features and are made at an even higher quality. Which tripod or tripods would that be?
