The Commencal looks fantastic with the new shock on dude, a piggyback shock just looks proper on an enduro bike. Don't know about the red levers, not my bag but if you like 'em, keep 'em! Great stuff man! I knew you could make that. I'm 42 and just had my first season at the bike park last year. Started MTB in 2020 at 39. I'm finishing building up my 2nd Trek Slash this week and i'm more excited than ever to get riding after a winter full of season ending injuries. Looking forward to your review on those handlebars as well. Went with the OneUp myself so i'm hoping to kill my bike park hand pain this summer.

Sorry to hear about your injuries, but glad you're back and fired up more than ever. I just like the spring feeling of the bars, Ive never had hand pain or arm pump, but I don't hold onto my bars very tightly. I'm not sure if that'd help your situation, but I hope you can figure it out

@@EvansMTBSaga You know, that could be an issue for sure. Usually at the top where I start the bike park, there is lots of washboard action from the ‘kids’ that slam their brakes coming into the corners so I’m hoping the handlebars, grips and 38’s I’m installing today will help. Great channel you have man. I’ve been enjoying your content. You have a good personality that will get you lots more viewers in the future for sure. Good job on the step-up gap! I know this was a sponsored video from a fitness company, but it is 100% spot on. If you are riding and not lifting weights/focusing on fitness off the bike, you are giving up performance on the bike. Far too many people spend money on bikes/parts/gear in the hopes of getting faster. They should be focusing on strength, losing body fat, and improving skills. Keep putting out these great videos!

It's amazing how much working out translates to riding a bike, even just doing downhill and bike parks. Older I get the more important flexibility is too. I was never flexible, but started daily stretching about a year ago. Only takes 5-10 minutes, and its really improved my overall health. I feel better just getting out of bed, and it puts me in a better mental state to start my day. Daily stretching, 20 minutes of weights and 20 of cardio 3-4 days a week, plus a healthier diet is not only manageable, but its made mean happier person and better rider.

Singletrack Sampler uses the rule of three himself. After watching one of his past videos about that, I myself implemented the same rule. If I can't make a feature or obstacle after three tries, I save it for another day. No sense in becoming fatigued or so frustrated that you make a major mistake and get injured.

Man, i got the same bike and would suggest you change the Maxxis Exo tires for a double down ones (could be schwalbe or even Maxxis), it will allow to reduce the rebound produce by the tires while allowing to put lower pressure on those. it will absorb all those nasty vibrations coming from rough terrain. If you decide to reduce the pressure on those Maxxis Exo you will end up with a broken rim or with a flat tire certainly. Good pick for a bike though!
