Although Amber is a good teacher, she would be even better if she learned the phycology part of teaching of using more positive words so that Eva or any other student won't feel insecure about their abilities. Also so they would feel more encouraged to learn. Alot of younger teachers start out this way but through more experience they get better at it. @@ΔεαΚ That is true with professional dancers. I'm speaking from a business standpoint. Some students aren't born with the flexibility of a dancer and just want to take ballet just for the pure joy of it or to develop the poise of a dancer. If all the students were treated like professionals, than a teacher would loose alot of her students. Believe me, I've seen it. Ehhh, it depends- to provide support, the shank needs to conform to the arch, and if someone doesn’t already have strong feet they’ll tend to struggle with a hard shank. If the dancer can’t get over the box because the shank is too hard, that’s not doing them any favors.

Focusing a lot about those feet, but it's the all body you have to work with. And about the legs, all strech out knees curving in. It's actually how you spot professional ballet dancers, looking at theirs toned curving legs. And all those exercices you do in demi-pointe should also feel easy on pointe. A big aaaall strech from the ground to the sky, that how you have good balance. I used to break my pointes hanging around in my house. Doing a few strech or relevés when I felt like it. I was on pointe before toes pad. I used thick winter sock back then, we also wore one over the pointes to make them last longer. Gotta be carefull though 'cause it could be very slippery depending on what type of floor you're on. By the way, same goes for high heel shoes. You could break them as well so you won't hurt yourself.

@@amyralls6218 My first teacher taught herself to ballet. Therefore she injuried herself a lot along her way. She was very communicative about it, which made us very self aware. We would maximize our arch, with sumo squat, but our legs closed and feet on pointes, walls supporting our knees, our butt pressing on our heels. But I believe walking around on high heels could do the trick as well, if the sole is flexible enough.

some tips that really helped me improve my arches and releve for pointe: practicing pushing my foot over in demi to a forced arch was helpful for improving height and flexibility. also try massaging your feet before going en pointe, and twisting your foot like youre ringing out a towel. i also would use a theraband to improve strenth and pull my pointed position further without hurting myself. also roll out your feet with a tennis ball or spiky ball. i see so much potential in you and you could be so good with pointe if you can manage to get in a tiny bit more practice and foot care.

If these are stream pointes then the reason you have a hard shank is because these shoes have a way softer shank than other shoes. The hard shank in a stream pointe is similar to a soft/medium shank in other pointe shoes. I found this out when I started wearing stream pointes
