Your System has Electric Heat provided by an Electric Air Handler laying horizontally in your attic and you have a Fiberglass return air plenum attached to the inlet side of the Air Handler.

Was stuck how I was going to get to the coil via the supply side duct. Removing it looked way beyond my pay grade and was about to give up until this video. Much appreciated

Well at was really the nozzle that pushes it over the top. But it does have good pressure going in, and fortunately the same almost coming out

the return duct is the air coming from the house, correct? so I need to pull that off to get access to the coils, not the side panel?

Yea the return plenum and access the inlet of the evaporator coil if is an electric air handler system

@@mastertechnicianmindset2181 thank you, all I have is the black flexible duct that comes straight into the unit.... if I take that duct off, then I can access the evaporater coils to vaccuum and clean?

@@mastertechnicianmindset2181 I see where some people make a box, but the duct in mine goes straight to the aluminum box/air handler.

@xisotopex In that case, we would use a utility knife, and cut along the edge of the Air Handler on all 4 sides to remove the square to round adaptor, which is more difficult than what the video shows. It might just be taped, but it could also be screwed to the air handler, which would make it even harder to get it put back together. I would suggest not to do anything you are not comfortable knowing that you can reassemble.

@@mastertechnicianmindset2181 well, I ended up just pulling the duct off, it had a zip tie and tape holding it in place, and from there I could see (barley) those thin aluminum strips I guess those are called the evaporators..... tough part was rolling that duct back on, and trying to make sure it was air tight, with new tape and a new ziptie...
