Pitch pine is also known as fatwood. It occurs when a pine tree dies standing up and the sap flows to the bottom of the tree, saturating the wood there. It can also occur in the shoulder of dead pine branches for the same reason. It can be easily bought on Amazon and other fine realtors.

One can easily filosofize as much as one wants in a free state of float flux but when one really lives is a solid interaction, integration in a stable functioning community. The challenges are far more internal in order to relate externally. As a former go anywhere try anything in the 60s-80s I discoverd that being found and rooting is true growth.

Hopefully you got the chance to explore Cappadocia properly, well beyond Goreme. There's so much to see there it's insane. You can spend weeks, months discovering new, unique, weird places, most of it with very few tourists or even none at all. Most fascinating place in the world, that I've been to anyway. Google Maps did the same thing to me and about 50 other cars and took us off of a freeway to avoid a small traffic accident. It put us on a service road about 100 feet away - but it immediately turned into a very rocky dirt road that was essentially a dried creek bed turned road. Ruined my front bumper from a big dip- dislodged it a bit out of place - scratched it up - and will cost over a thousand dollars to fix. And tons of cars got completely stuck. It was crazy.

crack raw eggs on the edge of a narrow something or other, like the brim of a cup. I usually use several eggs at once, so I usually just crack many eggs into a coffee cup. If you try to start the crack on a rounded surface, the fractures will be unpredictable. there is a lining in the inside of the egg that sort of helps to hold the little broken pieces together, so don't be shy. BREAK that egg on the sharp edge of a cup, and then it will open easily, and predictably, and the egg will come out, usually intact, and on target. Give it a shot. You cook fine, but your egg cracking needs work

All vehicles get stuck, tractors with huge wheels get stuck in muddy fields so a 4x4 with compromise tyres (on-road/off-road) won't get that far if the surface is really soft. Some people fit winches but that adds a lot of weight. First thing you need to carry is a good shovel and a few strips of old carpet you can put under the tyres to help them get some grip. Failing that, cut some brushwood and put that under the tyres. Failing that you'll need a tow. Make sure you're carrying a longish, strong rope - it makes begging a tow much easier! Great film, nice to see you with some company. Oh, and there's enough room in the back if you sleep on top of each other. What? Just trying to be helpful..😉.

Re getting not stuck/unstuck, drop the tyre pressures to about 15psi/1 bar, engauge low range and diff lock, rock if neccessary, but mostly you'll jsut drive out. tyre pressures are important as it lengthens the tread on the ground and gives a lot more traction. If you spin any wheel, stop especially if you feel the vehicle dropping into the sand/mud. If you have to you can drop tyres to 10psi, but remember not to turn fast. Repressure before highway driving. Also, get some off road driving tuition! That might save your life or the Landy! I'm not joking here, get a training course!

So getting into recovery now. Welcome to offroad driving. Very few offroad vehicles go everywhere. Yours doesn't seem to have diff locks, so in effect you are only in 2 wheel driver. 1 at the front and 1 at the back. Mud, extremely wet tracks and sand at times may not your friend. Time to by a shovel :). Also, as mentioned below, letting your tyres down gives you a bigger foot print and helps in sand and rocks, but can also help in mud a little. Also it gives you a smoother ride off road. You just have to reduce you top speed when they are down. If you let your tyres down you have to have something to pump them back up again. Anyway, loving the story of your journey. Keep safe.

Based on all I've seen (been watching for about a year) I doubt she has a tire inflator in her car to get back on the road - don't forget she has added hundreds or more pounds on that vehicle with her belongings. The more I watch her videos the more I feel like she's just winging it. Now she has an oil leak in her car which could end very badly considering how far she drives across Europe and the Middle East. We'll see where the adventures take us and I hope for her safety.

You're my eyes and ears in that part of the world Eva and I'm loving being a passenger. Mike takes up a lot of room though, doesn't he?😆 Wondering if you are aware of the low ratio gearbox in Oddessy that should get you out of most sticky spots. Tyre pressure is something to research too for situations like that. Be safe - love you!💕🇳🇿

And don’t forget you also have those red traction boards / sand ladders strapped to the side of your roof rack if you get stuck!!

Wow you two! I didn't want this video to end! Great work. I started watching Mikes fearless and far channel which i plan to binge watch tonight. Really great channels. I love both of you! And Eva, I'm one of those who crave to get out of the unappetising bustling viewless city to remote mountainous areas.
