In This video we walk through the installation of the EVBASE running boards for the Rivian R1S. These running boards are a new design, are sturdy, and have some flexibility on the way they are installed. The are the most economical option currently for running boards for both the R1T and the R1S. These running boards make it much easier for you or your passengers to enter or exit the vehicle. They also add to the Visual appeal of your R1S or R1T. You simply step up on the running board and then into the truck...no more having to jump in or slide out due to higher ride height. No more having to wait for air suspension to lower either! We also demo the running boards and show you before and after install photos.

thank you for the video. I think you are supposed to use blue loctite on all of these bolts.

Thank you for you video. I ordered them and installed them on my R1S on Saturday. The instructions that came with the order were not easy, but yours were perfect. I did have to reverse all 3 brackets and install the drivers side on the passenger side and vice versa. I have not reinstalled the plastic trims yet, that might be my project for this weekend. For anyone watching the video, follow the instructions, they are extremely helpful.

Great to hear! Here is a picture I took of the slots I cut in the R1T. Its not pretty but I just lined it up and cut slots. Put some gorilla tape around the edges which will fall off. I need something that will hold up better. The tape is not required, it just makes the edges look cleaner. I used aluminum snips to cut the slots. imgur.com/aD9yErp And imgur.com/bmXwPMr

Nice. Looking forward to getting my R1S and ordering these. I'll get it without the writing though. They look trashy with the writing, not because of what it says, but because the font doesn't look anything like the RIVIAN font. If it used the correct font or just had the logo, that would be nice.

Congratulations on the R1S! Yes, a lot of folks agree with you. I don't believe they sell the ones with lettering anymore.

Got my R1S and these running boards! Looking forward to installing them. Getting those clips out has me worried. Another video showed the guy really struggling with them and this one says it's easy, but then video is edited both times between him starting and succeeding in getting them out.

Do the running boards or mounting brackets block or obstruct the jack points/pads at all?

Great question. No they do not obstruct the jacking points. The jack/lift pucks extend down far enough to clear these running boards. Both our T and S have been in for service. Aside from compliments on them from service center staff no issues.

You can but it's not required. I chose to reinstall them to protect the ecoating on the underside. I had to cut slots in the plastic panels.

8:53 Did you end up needing that extra mounting hardware after all? I installed mine and didn't find a use for them.

I did on the R1T not on the R1S. Putting the covers back will require some slots to be cut in them.

No I didn't. U did wind up cutting them on the R1T. I just lined them up, used aluminum snips to cut slots. Then I taped around the open areas. Its not the cleanest of installs but you can't see it at all (underneath of vehicle).
