I received my running boards a few days ago. In the video, you say to torque the bracket bolt "back to factory spec" - what is the actual spec?

What is the downside to not reinstalling the plastic trim for someone who never travels off-road? Will the body be prone to rust? Can you easily see the missing trim post-install when looking at the vehicle?

basically none. They are not water-proof or anything like that. Cant see it either, unless you crawl under the truck.

We have not had any issues or complaints about this! There are ways to also fill the holes as well that we have heard great things from consumers!

Best for most DIY - you can trim edge with a razor to make it super clean!
