Nice to see someone posting their W and L. Yeah Fiends are tough. Especially if they have a core. they also have a special ability that makes them a turtle (reduces damage but increases resistances and capacitor recharge).

Most hictors are fit very defensively to take on anything coming through a gate. My only advantage was speed, with very little defense, so when I realized I couldn’t get away I knew I was toast. Will adjust and get back out there, maybe even with the correct drone orbit range this time 😅

Since then I have been resetting it every time I log in haha. I am haunted by the time I had drone orbit set up for my carrier range while fighting an orca, doing my best to never make that mistake again

another tip that i like to suggest is to not use the MWD untill u need to. the entire time ur not locked by an afk miner u can save on the cap untill its dire and that might be a huge help if real ships land

@@sniperjourney7532 my optimal on assault drones is 7.34km. Usually I set it to 6km for wiggle room, however in this case I had been ratting in my carrier prior to roaming and my drone optimal orbit was set at 10km 🥲

What's your DPS? Seems like you weren't dealing much damage on that first Orca. Alas an Orca has a lot of tank.

Around 900 dps cold. The thing I don’t like about missiles is the slow rate of fire, it gives a false perception of performance when you see them repping in between hits. But yes, orcas have too much tank and require more dps to take down than I think my bellicose could dish out.

@timothegoulet1511 my bad I thought you meant bellicose. The Arby fit runs about 800 dps but I messed up by not setting my drone orbit to their optimal range- I was ratting with my carrier beforehand and forgot to set it back to 5km, they were orbiting at 11km 😅

@Gromire I like how you show your failures unlined VirtualPGE for instance. I'm pretty good about checking drone/fighter orbit range before I undock. Now if I could do the same about checking my implants everything would be Kosher. When I saw your video I was wondering why you were hitting that Covetor like a Wet Noodle. But like I stated I figured out you were fights an Orca so I should give you more slack.

I do everything on my phone, which means limited storage to save video. There were more than a few time where I hit record, went out to pvp, and the video never saved because I didn’t have enough storage. Not shown in this video is me running from an Ashimu, not being able to handle the dps of a Bhaal, running into 2 other red gate camps, and getting blown up by another cynabal. 😅

Absolutely! Trying to compete with someone that has been around since the beginning might be a challenge by yourself, but if you get involved in team play and group content Eve Echoes can be a very rewarding experience.

​@Gromire 😂 don't be too tough on yourself, drones may be awesome for PvP but they are a lot more micro managey than other weapons. I genuinely feel more chill fighting in a missile ship, but drones are unmatched with bombard.

You don't gf until its over. Try to adapt to the situation and make it work. Against the Fiend, you had a tracking disruptor on him. You may have been webbed and all, but his tracking is garbage now. Orbit. Just orbit and try to make the most of the fight. You'd be surprised how many you win or at least live through.
