Just want to iterate the importance of when creating the directory for the image that this is CASE and LETTER sensitive! When importing the router the directory must start with "vios-" When importing the switch the directory must start with "viosl2-"

Hi, I've been trying to install CSRV1000 but it doesn't works for me... I have other Cisco Virl Images installed and works fine. I can connect via web browser to the devices and configure them. With CSRV1000 i follow the same process to upload virls qcow2 images , I've tryed to with differents CSRV1000 isos (I get a qcow file and renamed to virtioa.qcow2) and when y Start node in eve i stops in 2 seconds, If doesn't stops i can't connect. Any idea? I'd be the happiest person in the world if we could solve it Thankyou!!!!!

Thanks for great video. Friendly addon for this video: The names for image directories must start exactly like it is in EVE-NG image naming table: www.eve-ng.net/documentation/images-table Author in video is creating directory for L3 Router image and name MUST start “vios-xxxxxxxx”. For L2 switch image the directory name must start “viosl2-xxxxxxxxxxx” Important is first part of directory’s name with hyphen, vios-, viosl2- It is case sensitive name!

If the images load me but they don't start, what should I do?

Either you have imported the image incorrectly or you do not have enough resources allocated to the image. I might suggest increasing the RAM and vCPU of the images when trying to bring up a new node.

Isn't VIRL like a 5GB vmdk image? This video is confusing... Unless there is a way to run that Ubuntu image and then copy out the router and switch images.

Depends on the image version, though I haven't seen any 5GB images. The image on the video is like 126MB and runs just fine.

If you can get your hands on IOL images I think that would also be more preferred than VIRL, way less resource intense and you really get the same out for your learning experience :)
