Here we use a classical ship I've used a lot in the past for missions. It burns through L4s surpsingly well.

You need to track / follow the mission and it will show up in overview . I had the same , almost as if it’s gone off in some update . It an option by the agent/ mission giver when you accept the mission you get track / untrack . That worked for me

On three toons farming LP, I use a shield tanked Armageddon Navy Issue. Fit name is set it and forget. I use auto targeting cruise missiles and sentries.

I love running level 4 missions but wish CCP would add new standard level 4s! Also, when I first started playing EVE back in 2008, I have fond memories of flying the Apoc for level 4s but I think recently they removed the cap bonus for large energy turrets so the Apoc is not longer as good as it used to be which kind of pushes people to just work towards only flying the Paladin. I agree that there needs to be some new mission content that's comparable to the current mission system. However there is a significant part of me that is very attached to some of the current missions. Angel extravaganza, The blockade, Dread pirate scarlet, mining misappropriation and even worlds collide. I wouldn't want them to touch those missions as yes we have had some of these missions for 20 years but that's also part of what I like the familiarity of these missions. I would be open to them adding more agents for new types of missions so you have the choice as I like chilling out doing level 4's helping new players with standings etc.

Yeah, they really do need to add more solo pve content in high-sec, the lack of attention from the developers for mission runners is criminal. At the same time I'm not surprised when most of the devs are pvp fanatics, every expansion revolves around pvp.

With current role bonuses, you are better served by fitting dps/buffer. It also helps a little to be less gankable and it makes the lack of stable armor tank so that it isn't an issue. You could try a Armageddon Navy with 44k armor buffer, reactive, one T2 armor rep and the rest damage in the lows. It does 950 ish dps with sentries, 1150 ish dps with ogre II's all the way to about 100KM (Cruise Missiles T2). Costs only 650m (instead of your apoc here which was 1,000m). I run mine with one target painter to make it easy to kill small ships. The only way it gets into trouble is if you ignore triggers and spawn the entire room at once.

Ace, it's a bug we now have in High Sec have to open Opportunities and click mission and Track to get hud Mission Objective showing sometimes

Perhaps you can give the vargur a try with level 4 missions

Marauders trivialize all L4's. I ran a Vargur and made like 6B isk in under a month of L4's. Only mission to make a 2B isk Vargur sweat was "The Assault: Guristas" by messing up and popping ALL of the triggers first. Paladin is also very strong. Marauders make L4's so easy you can just watch a movie and barely pay attention at all.

​​The only attention you have to pay with a marauder is at the D-Scan for ganks lol anyway they are so OP i always run missions with them but in PvP fit with neuts, stasis grappler + web, cap boosters 3200 and double rep just in case. They have to bring quite a lot of firepower to take down a 3500dps Kronos with 700hps rep, 80%+ omnitank and cap stabile even while neuted @@myusernamewasinvalid

Typical Aceface, "decent at L4 mission", when deep in structure, running out of cap and hardly managing one of the fairly easy missions. :) That optimism is just rock solid! :)

Non-deadspace MWD active half the time did not help with the cap nor the signature tanking 😅 unless in a Marauder i'd rather go AB not to get cap malus and double rep just for the burst tank when needed
