Very helpful thank you!! A note about site names: -if it has faction name, it will have no hostile npcs. -no faction name means sleeper hostile npcs in it -if faction name has "covert" or something similar in the name it is a ghost site and detonate on a timer probably killing you. Learned all this the hard way, rip my little fleet of herons lol Just found you channel and it is super informative thank you again!

I don't know if you can add more without it getting away from that. Maybe list the naming conventions of safe sites in wh space in your description. You could probably do a seperate vid on ghost sites. Can't help with that since I'm still understanding it myself.

Spent few years playing the exploration in EVE. Eventually got tired of having to earn the billions of ISK required for PLEX and after a mishap in Drone Region finally biomassed my character. I still remember the minigame , wormhole space and sleeper sites fondly!!!

I love your videos, I have been watching them for quite a while now since I got back to eve online. This video specifically I really like for the hacking portion of explo. However, one thing that came to mind while watching the vid is, what sites do you hunt down? Often times when I am in Jspace, I find data sites I can't even enter or I am doomed because there are quite a few rats, so I am really interested in the difference between like unsecured sites, ghost sites, etc. Thanks for all the awesome eve vids, they help a lot!

I have a link in the description it shows which sites are hostile vs unoccupied a good rule of thumb is if it has a faction npc name so guristas, angel, serpentis, blood, sansha these are always clear of npcs. Unsecured, forgotten, sleeper, ghost, and so on are usually hostile. Glad the videos have helped you out 👍

Thanks for the video, dude. I am just getting back into Eve (quit in 2017) and started on a fresh account (skill injector'd up to ~10 mill sp and doing the 3 month MCT promotion offered by CCP). My old account was gutted by my friend, and a fresh start always feels good...EXCEPT you have nothing lol. My memory was leaving out a lot of stuff but your video helped to fill in those gaps! thanks for the great video :-) a few things i noticed: 1. the lack of dscanning is not really a good example for newbros in null/wh. i was freaking scared the whole time i watched you hack :-) 2. the exit almost always is in the far away areas. knowing this is extremely important for hacking efficiently. more important than the rule of 6 i think. you wasted lots of time looking in areas with 100% no exit possibility. 3. when you are in a far away corner and a 5 pops up, just ignore the area. exit won't be there, of course. 4. when you are in a far away corner and 1 or 2 pops up while being blocked by a bad thingy, chance are there is your exit. at least more likely than looking in other areas closer to the entrance 5. fitting: 1 stab is kinda useless imo. most important thing is to get below 2 or 3 seconds align to warp with istabs and the like. 6. fitting: T1 cloak for T1 ships is still recommended, while scanning down the sites 7. fitting/tactic: i think it is way too slow and therefore dangerous to use a cargo scanner for every can. In that time you scanned the cans, i would have opened 2. I see the merit, but especially when there is competion and gankers, it becomes hit and run. no time for scanning cans. at least thats what i am thinking. general mindset: scan fast, get in fast, hack fast, loot fast, get the fuck out. keep up the good work, really appreciate it.

Thanks for this, I was scanning :) i was hitting V lol I did mention it but it was tied in with a bit i said wrong so i took it out. as for the rest of the stuff thank you for these bits they will be helpful to anyone else looking at this. I dont run these that much as its not really good in HS for them so the tips will be helpful.

You can easily do Exploration with Tech1 ships and if you lose one they are cheap to replace. I mainly use an Astero as I can lock up a T1 Frigate or T2 CovOps and the will normally 'bugger off' and leave the site for me. If you decide to use an Astero keep ECM Drones in your bay in case you get jumped. They will break the target lock and you can warp out, better to lose a few drones than a 100mil ship.

Awesome work on the video, but to be honest I have to be a bit of a critic on this video. From the many videos I've seen on hacking everyone gets about 50% to 70% of the way to being the perfect guide on relic and data sites. I would say this video got 70% of the way there. To nit pick on a few things: - You only get 2 chances at a regular data or relic site. - On fittings you should assess the viability of the lower end ship from the perspective of a newer player. Add a recommendation on which ship would be the most ideal. (I personally started in amarr and it was a bit disappointing to see that the magnate lacks one high and one mid slot compared to the heron) - It would be nice if you gave a recommended skill path to a new player who is alpha and who is a new omega. (This includes scanning skills because the people looking for a video like this would not be maxed out on their scanning skills) These are only a few of the things that I picked up. I honestly think you can a 100% guide to relic and data sites. And with the perfect guide I think newer players can have a much easier time finding and competing these sites. I honestly think this is one of the best ways to make early isk. I just feel like there is a lot being left on the table when it comes to these sites. If you would like all the other recommendations I have to really make this a 100% video I would be will to get on discord and help you out. If your interested let me know. I think it can be the ultimate relic and data site 101+1.

So I'm not sure if you missed it which is fine but o covered off both of these areas. The skills required to do this are hacking and archaeology thats it these are the only 2 skills that effect this. On the point of fittings I list each ship capable or bonuses for doing these sites and explain why. I also link the fittings for each one in the description. I appreciate the criticism however not sure if this is in the right context. Hoping that clears that up and thanks for such an indepth comment

The buzzard is better at scanning though. The Astero can only get 37.5% probe bonus while the Buzzard gets 50% at max skills. Thus, the buzzard is the one to go, right?

The bonus was changed recently so now its a fixed bonus i belive so as far as I know the bonus to scanning isn't there although my understanding might be wrong

Just a suggestion on how to improve the Howto's (just my $0.02, do with this as you wish, English is not my primary language so I hope it makes sense): In this video you struggle a bit with not getting ahead of your self sharing your knowledge (for example the references back to the mini game), I believe I've also noticed this in other videos of yours. One way of providing context for the audience to which they can tie all detailed information to is to run through the content once initially. Then start over and take all the details step by step. This way I (as audience) know whats coming and I'm prepared to pay extra attention to the aspect to which I have extra interests. (You are doing all of this but there is perhaps a little room for improvement). In short: - Intro - Bottom line up front (short and to the point). This is what I'm going to show today: 1: .... 2: .... 3: .... - Brief overview (perhaps you commenting on a clip)

17:50 - great if you can afford the time to do that. Most of us are on the edge of the seat, hitting that directional scan every few seconds for any "visitors". So really you just wanna hack the containers as soon as possible and gtf out.

No such thing as a stupid question 😉 the reason there is not rig was to keep the cost down, for starter scanners a basic fit is more than sufficient for anything your likely to encounter and keeps the cost down to reach when it dies

hi what do you do when you capture dog tags in game i have some imperial navy and some blood warriors tags but cannot work out what to do with them or do you just sell them.

Just sell them, there NPC tags so have a fixed value when you sell them. There are some though like Diamond, Platinum, Palladium tags, these are needed to open special gates in missions and other things, if there not those though then yeah sell them :)

There are some with sleepers in but they are easily identified because they will have sleeper in the name. I've got an image in the description that shows you safe and you safe sites

Seeing the cargo scanner and i think oh god pls no...why the fu is someone give the advice to install a cargo scanner. Yeah the egoistic reason is obvious but then you also get a lot of sites where some people just cherrypick the best loot and leave the rest and the site doesnt despawn. So yeah thumbs down for this video. Because you also have to deal with already hacked and not finished sites. And it prevents that new sites spawns in the region.

For the love of god please don't encourage people to cherry pick sites, it's heinous and not only wastes time for other explorers but also stops new sites from spawning. STOP IT!

Quick question are you jumping on the band wagon because you saw someone else put that or because you misunderstood the video. I dont suggest leaving sites I suggest using the scanner to find the containers with the most value in first this way if you have to bail... you have the big money already....

@@BonkersY2K Whilst you don't directly suggest it, you also don't discourage it (you even unlock the shit cans) either nor mention anything about why you shouldn't cherry pick. I think that's something you could clear up in another video, now that you're Eve partner more eyes are gonna be drawn to this. Which means more people feeling inclined to cherry pick because you didn't explain that it's not something you should do. Cherry picking has been the bane of my exploration on Eve, technically sure it's allowed but it's highly frowned upon by other explorers and I take great pleasure in blowing up those who do it lol
